The view from our room was gorgeous and the bed was SO comfy. The services were top notch including amazing dinner delivery, delicious breakfast options and relaxing spa sessions. The 360 yoga shala view was stunning for sunrise, don’t miss it!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to stay here again! Situated on a ridge above the village, Aranka Tempasan offers wonderful views of Mount Rinjani in the background. Reached via a macadam path, it feels like you've entered another world when you arrive. There are also various activities on offer with a local guide. We visited an authentic local village and took a trip into the nearby jungle to see the waterfalls. We also took a painting course. The owner, Berry, is very warm-hearted and has a great sense of how to run the business. Together with the very kind staff, he runs the business as a community. Needless to say, the food is delicious, too. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in nature and experience the local way of life.

The hotel is very quiet with a nice pool practically for you as there are only 6 rooms. The kitchen serves excellent quality food all the day: breakfast, lunch, dinner. We tasted 80% of the plates and they were delicious!! Better than going to Kuta. It's near Kuta but you will need a transport. The are no Grab cars in the area but there's a private driver living near the hotel called Han, really recommended!! Just ask for him in the reception.

An Asian, vegetarian or halal breakfast is available at the property. The location was of exceptional beauty. The cottages were amazing, with all that is needed inside, a good bed, a good bathroom, a little terrace where to sit and contemplate the views. They have restaurant service that will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner...everything homemade and delicious. But the best of it all was the staff, always eager to help. You can see this is a family-run business that has started with some many ilusions, but people that want to make the best out of it.

Staying in the quiet village close to the mosque really helped us feel immersed in their culture. The host Putu & staff were so welcoming and chilled out. The family room was perfect! If you are looking for luxuries this isn’t for you. Comfort and peace then yes!

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. This is an absolute gem of a place to stay. Don’t hesitate to book it. Harry and his community are so welcoming and generous. Harry organised scooter hire and a tour of the local waterfalls, spice market and a bamboo weaving enterprise. He even invited us to a local ceremony to celebrate a new building. The rooms are small but well equipped and very clean. If you want somewhere off the beaten track with a real community feel to it then this is a must. Just bring earplugs if you want a lie in!
