It's a new hotel with a lovely lobby you can chill at. The owner is super friendly, caring and professional. The breakfast is amazing and for the first time we encountered "proper" Westerner bed linen. Thank you Anjalo!

The breakfast was fantastic and served right on your balcony. The view is to die for and the balcony is perfectly suited to take it all in. Very clean and big room (it’s a lot better than the pictures show). We hope to come back here someday.

Located 49 km from Gregory Lake, Ella Breeze Homestay provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and room service for your convenience. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. We absolutely loved it, I dare say it was our best stay in Sri Lanka. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful (especially if you like birds!), the room is comfortable, the balcony is really enjoyable. But most of all: the owner is a wonderful person, who will go above and beyond to help you and make sure you have a great stay. We hiked from there to Ella's Rock, following the train rail at first and it was really amazing. Thank you so much for this stay!!!

Lovely cottage, very private with stunning views and well situated for climbing Ella’s Rock. Very sweet family who cooked us lovely food and had an on-site tuk tuk for ease of driving us into town as the son has one. It was lovely to be away from the madness of the town but near enough to pop in for dinner if we felt like it. Loved watching the birds and monkeys in the forest around the cottage. Comfortable bed. Excellent Wi-Fi.

Featuring a garden and free WiFi, Arana Sri Lanka Eco Lodge and Yoga Center is situated in Ella, 3 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. The property is around 1.1 km from Ella Spice Garden and 2.9 km from Ella Rock. The hotel offers mountain views and a terrace. Yoga classes are available at an additional charge. The whole experience was really amazing. Before we arrived, we were contacted so that we could be picked up from Ella train station, with clear instructions. We were also running a bit late and could pre-order from their restaurant. When we got there, the whole team of staff were so friendly and kind, helping us with luggage, letting us know what we could do and arranging transport. They work with particular tuk tuk drivers that they feel offer good service and that they trust. The meals were delicious, in particular the breakfasts. The room that we got was spacious and had all the facilities that we needed. There were plenty aircon so we weren't too hot. It is in the middle of nature so there can be some tiny insects about- but we loved that. All in all a really wonderful time and I couldn't recommend enough.

Renu is an incredibly inspiring woman, mother and co-owner who will do everything in her power to make your stay intimate, comfortable and convenient. She puts an umbrella in front of your door when it rains; she looks out the window to see how far you are to prepare breakfast; she brings everything to your table and removes it quietly. Not to mention the room, with its high double roofed ceiling that makes you feel like you’re in a nest on a treetop. It’s spacious, spotless clean (no sign of dump despite daily rain in Ella) and everything works perfectly, even though it’s literally a hanging cottage. The view from the bed/balcony is breathtaking and different every day, and you even see the famous train passing at your feet. DIGITAL NOMADS: we had quite good wifi, enough for videocalls most times of the day, but bring a sim card with data just in case.

Even though the room was close to the main road it had an isolated atmosphere and a great view. The room is very close to the Little Adam’s peak and Nine Arches Brige and a 15-minute walk to the center and the way to the center is walkable. The Sri Lankan breakfast Kamal served was one of the bests I had in Sri lanka. I highly recommend this accomodation!

Located in Ohiya, surrounded by mountains in the Horton Plains Range, Hill Safari - Tea Estate Villa mainly serves Sri Lankan cuisine. It features a shared lounge area surrounded by tea estates/mountains. The property boasts an excellent location for hiking and trekking. We loved our stay at the Hill Safari. The views were spectacular, the staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome and the room was everything we needed. The food was also delicious and they gave us many new year treats to try. They recommended some great walking routes, talking you through the route with a hand drawn map!
