Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. It is a 4-minute drive from Pantai Cenang, a 15-minute drive from Langkawi Airport and a 30-minute drive from Kuah Town. The rooms are very clean, comfortable beds, nice view from the villa. Breakfast in vegan restaurant is amazing. The location is very convenient hiden in jungle, and close to airport as well as town shops, restaurants etc. The stuff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. You can spot monkeys in the trees during daytime. Also tried SPA massages, very nice procedure.

Honestly, the staff at this hotel were super friendly and chill – made the whole stay feel easy and comfortable. What really surprised me though was the beach! I didn’t expect Tanjung Rhu to be that beautiful. The water was so clear and the beach was peaceful, almost felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Such a great spot!

Langkawi International Airport is 3 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Beautiful setting in the rice paddies, this place has a very special feel to it. Very relaxing atmosphere and a great place to unwind. Cooling down in the pool whilst watching the abundant birds in their natural environment, it’s very peaceful. Well equipped communal kitchen and comfortable rooms. Factor in some time in your itinerary to just relax at the villa. So many other travellers seemed to pass through quickly and didn’t get to experience the magic of this place. The owner is very welcoming and the breakfasts were wonderful. A great introduction for us to local delicacies.

I told him abt iron cannot be use and coway not function, immediately he respond and restore the coway and replaced the unused iron. Thank you for the hospitality. Will repeat it soon.
