The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

They were always willing to help with any requests and gave us great insights into the area. Their hospitality really made us feel at home. The environment is breathtaking. The resort is nestled in a stunning location, surrounded by lush nature and serene views that are perfect for relaxation. Whether it was lounging by the pool, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, or exploring the local beauty, every moment at Ataraxia was pure bliss. I can’t recommend this place enough! The area is popular for snorkelling, surfing and hiking. Immerse yourself in the lush vegetation, pristine beaches, surfing, wildlife, & endless beauty of Bocas del Toro. This is an absolute gem — I cannot recommend it enough! The most perfect location, great owners and staff, amazing homemade breakfast and cocktails. I stayed for two nights and didn’t want to leave.

The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

The property has an outdoor dining area. We loved our stay here. The house is a real gem hidden in the jungle, with big and extremely comfortable beds, a spacious kitchen with everything you need and a very pretty bathroom. The porch with the hammack is fantastic, we took our time to relax there and spot the howler monkeys having dinner in the trees right in front of us. It was amazing. I also took a yoga class with Jennifer, the host. If you are into yoga or just want to try it, do not miss out on it.

Bocas del Toro Isla Colon International Airport is 6 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. The house was very well decorated and finished to a high standard. The reef around it was beautiful, we seen a spotted eagle ray, octopus, moray, barracuda, toadfish, and more while snorkelling. Very peaceful, the owners live close by and stocked up the mini fridge within minutes of us asking. There was also the offer of breakfast and a 3 course dinner, which we didn't take, but in hindsight, might have made the trip even better. Wonderful 2 nights and would highly recommend. There was drinking water provided, warm showers, a toaster and a gas hob and the hosts were in contact before and during my visit, so i could find out anything i needed to know in advance.

The couple welcomed us with great availability throughout our stay. We received an exceptional and varied breakfast every morning that exceeded our expectations. We were extremely satisfied. The space is very large, nature is totally respected and we were very lucky to have such charming and caring hosts. We highly recommend the location, the price is absolutely correct, the quality is absolutely correct. We are very, very happy.
