The facilities are excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The shower had reliably hot water (a big plus!), and both breakfast and dinner were delicious and satisfying every day. You can feel the care and love Ricky puts into everything he does. His two friendly dogs and super cuddly cat made the place feel even more like home. In short, 5 booked days turned into two weeks. We immediately felt at home and incredibly comfortable. For us it was a little paradise. The river that borders the house is perfect for swimming or fishing. From the outdoor kitchen you had a really beautiful view of the mountains, the river and the sunrise. It is a beautiful, quiet place with chickens, cats and sheep that belong to Walter's mother. She lives on the property and supplied us with little things to eat and drink from her little shop. When we were there, there were two baby cats that we really loved. It is super easy, quick and cheap to get to Huaraz town with the collectivo bus. From the property you can walk several small treks, such as to viewpoints and to a waterfall. We were lucky that Walter accompanied us on an adventurous hike to the waterfall. We already miss it and can highly recommend this beautiful spot in nature to everyone. It really exceeded our expectations. Thanks again to Walter and his mother.
