We were a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens/teenagers), we booked 2 of the pendant domes. They picked us up in Ollantaytambo, and took us on a quad ride to their reception (the kids said quad ride was a blast!). We were welcomed with soft blanket and tea by the heater.
We needed to have at least 1 adult in each pod; the boys were with my husband, and they had to wear harness to climb to their pod.
The jacuzzi was amazing, and when we woke up in the morning - the view....You have to see it for yourself.
Everyone should experience it at least once in a lifetime.
Salcantay
With mountain views, Llactapata Lodge overlooking Machu Picchu - camping - restaurant is situated in Salcantay and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace.
A balcony with garden views is offered in every unit.
The selling point is certainly the view! The lodge is nestled on a hill and you can see Machu Picchu from a distance.
The room was clean and comfortable but very basic. We had a nice area to sit outside and watch the sunset. There was a crazy intense storm that evening and it was an unforgettable and amazing show to watch from the cabin!
I was very impressed with dinner, especially since it was just a father and son (I think?) running the lodge and restaurant and they covered dinner for over 20 people. It was a little late to come out, but it was the best meal I had during our Salkantay trek. Hats off to you!
Urubamba
Main Square is 13 km from the lodge, while Sir Torrechayoc Church is 13 km away. Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport is 57 km from the property, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. The staff were great: Ramon, Checo and Daniel. Daniel was super on top of things. From the get go we knew what was going to happen. All of them accommodated translation in both English and Spanish. Took their time and we made it!!! This was a very doable experience., I never did a Via Ferrata nor Ziplining nor an extreme sport before and I was very proud. My partner was his first time too, but he is more fit then I am. The facilities were clean, comfy, cozy. SkyLodge was the best bed we had slept in, from our entire Peru trip and that says quite a lot. All instructions were easy to understand and we felt extremely safe all the way. We had the highest pod and had no issue moving between our and the dining pod, even in the dark! There was wind blowing, however nothing too drastic shaking the pod, as some reviews stated(and we did have very strong winds that night- it rained that night) not too much noise as some reviewers experienced from below traffic or the train and only some lights from the towns below but nothing too bad (close the curtains on that side if ur bothered) The food was great, we felt like VIP's and all were truly genuine in their service and hospitality. From our hotel pick up to our drop off (we had a massage appointment to make in Cusco that afternoon) they went out of their way to accommodate us and make the experience one out of this world♥️. Muchas gracias chicos! Your Aruban 'Gochos' friends

The location is solid in that its a nice walk into town. Having said that the windows don't fully shut, and there is cars revving or truck activity all hours late at night and into early morning
The bed in the "deluxe private room" was the best I slept in, in months, but to call that tiny cabin a deluxe room is nothing but a joke.
Once in a lifetime experience. The ferrata climb was terrifying but fun and the same for the zipline. The views in the cabin were phenomenal.
It starts with a welcome drink and smiling staff and only gets better. The location is amazing surrounded by mountains, the staff are amazing, the food is amazing. They are more than happy to shuttle you to train at 5.30 in the morning. If you are planning a trip to Machu Picchu you should stay here.
Cute cabins with nice views
Very kind and friendly staff. Prompt shuttle pick up at airport. Close to airport. Clean spacious comfortable. Excellent for someone arriving in cusco at night after a long days travel who just want to sleep. Breakfast provided also .
The room had a simpleness too it, kind of felt like you were staying in a mountain cabin, rustic-Ness. Carmen the host was lovely. The owners were not present
