Dubai - The Jewel of the Desert

Cosmopolitan and architecturally stunning Dubai is a truly global city. With its ultramodern skyscrapers, the artificial archipelago of Palm Islands and the world’s largest shopping mall, Dubai offers something for every taste.

Surrounded by a desert, this city is the futuristic gem of the Middle East and the United Arab Emirates. With chic yachts at home in the city’s upscale marina and the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake and its Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest dancing fountain, visitors might momentarily forget they are in a desert.

You can relax on a beautiful sandy beach, explore the local souks and their treasures or enjoy a trip to the amazing Dubai Desert. Don’t forget to stop at Burj Khalifa’s observation deck and admire the city panorama from over 452 metres.

Dubai has even more to offer: camel races, hot air balloon flights, fast rides over sand dunes and even snow skiing! Make sure you try local cuisine and visit the Spice Souk, famous for its thousand and one spices.

Getting to the city centre from Dubai International and Sharjah International Airports is easy. Whether you’re looking for a stunning luxury hotel, a beachfront suite or an intimate resort, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Dubai adventure.

The 'Atlantis the Palm' hotel and its sister hotel the Royal were awesome. Loved the Desert safari and Mosque tours. The malls are on another level, Fantastic. Tips: Download the Careem App, it' like Uber but works well. If you like Buffet's book 'Gastronomy' at the 'Atlantis the Royal' hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Clean and safe. Shop workers very helpful. Restaurant workers always busy, Cleaning tables sweeping the floor, as soon as a table been left the workers clean it. That's from an expensive Restaurant down to a Starbucks or McDonald's. Just back in the UK and in a cafe, tables dirty, rubbish left. Last persons plates left staff on phones chatting, no intrest in the customer.

We did the desert safari tour at sunset - organised through Emirates and highly recommend it. We also did the Top of Burj Khalifa at Sunrise, this was a really heartwarming experience. Using the Metro (redline) was very easy and affordable (get multiple day pass). Byron Bathers at the Palm was great for access to resort pool style (very family friendly) a lot like an Aussie beer garden, but with pool area.

Dubai is an excellent place that can meet and surpass the expectations of any person, for any length of stay, and any time of the year. Dubai is already so very well connected with bus, tram, taxi, monorail, metro services and with a variety of hotel / apartment stay options, that it is an excellent location for any type of budget. A visit to the Museum of the Future, is a must for everyone, and it will just leave you baffled on the way UAE is going to look in the very near future. Given a choice, I could stay there forever.... !! Cheers.

There is so much to see and do in Dubai. The best part of this beautiful city is the safety. It's nice to feel safe in a city, especially when you travel with family. I also love the people of Dubai, so friendly and hospitable.
