An amazing hotel, the service is great, the rooms are cozy, and the breakfast is delicious. It's a bit outside the city on some hill, so you better be with car or ready to walk a little bit to the nearest bus or s-bahn station, but it's worth every step, the view is just astonishing and the place is so quiet and picturesque.

The hotel is simply less than 30 min away from main Salzburg HBF and bus stop is precisely 1 min from the entrance. 19th century felt strong, alluded to the rustic interior layout. I have toured around Europe for one month and first time I stayed in a place with broad stairways. Room was super clean spacious, whatever I needed well provided. The quintessential quality of my Austria stay here was the very smiley and congenial staff service, from front desk to restaurant. Highly recommendation from me to whoever wishes to immerse in the Salzburg persona.

Big rooms, great big comfortable bed, very pretty sitting area in the corner, very nice bathroom. Everything is super clean, daily cleaning very good, the view is nice and we liked the small details such as chocolates, magazine, flowers etc. Fitness room is well equipted, but in wellness area it would be better if there were at least 1 or 2 private saunas. But there are a lot of them so there is a lot of choice! Breakfast is very good, lots of choices, even vegan & vegetarian options (much appreciated). Parking is spaceous and great. Staff is very nice! We really liked everyone in Austria generally, everyone is so nice, and so is the staff in this hotel. Thank you and we will be back to stay more than 2 nights for sure! All best.

You couldn't get the location any better. Everything is just top notch. The vicinity, the lake nearby, and the staff are nothing short of amazing. Weather and the nature around the hotel made the stay more memorable. The hotel sits in the middle of a village and the peace is so mesmerizing. Highly recommend for those who want to recoupe the inner peace.

Really Small luxury Hotel - in the heart of the city, on an ancient street in an ancient authentic building, but at the same time with an amazing designer renovation, comfortable beds and generous space - this hotel is our love. The staff is fantastically helpful and friendly. Ulrika is simply charming. The hotel has one of the best Austrian cuisine restaurants in the city. The guys from the restaurant are just top-notch professionals. We really felt like we were being taken care of.

Everything! It’s a gorgeous property, with a wonderful garden and a great terrace area for drinks/meals. They are also extremely dog friendly. They provided food/water bowls as well as a soft rug for our dog (and treats)! The garden view room was lovely - our dog loved to sit by the Juliet balcony and look outside. And they do serve a brilliant breakfast! The entire staff was quite nice and helpful as well.

The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps.     Gasthof Maria Plain was a lovely and peaceful choice during the crowded musical festival season. Located on the outskirts of Salzburg, the hotel features beautiful gardens and offers stunning views of the city, especially at night. The surrounding area was also well worth exploring. Breakfast was just what we needed, and dining outdoors allowed us to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery along with delicious food. Parking was easy and free.

    This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel & just love it. Staff are so friendly. The rooms are immaculate & so comfortable really had the best sleep. There’s a great choice for breakfast & evening meal is the hearty food you expect for Austria. Very convenient for the city, bus stop directly outside. Would highly recommend & would definitely stay again.
