THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. We stayed in this cosy home from home apartment for 3 nights, it was a lovely place to stay. It was one of the best equipped places we have ever stayed in, our host Gabriele had really thought of everything! There is a restaurant within walking distance and several more in Ebensee itself which is a 5 minute car drive away. There is great walking in the mountains around and the lovely town Bad Ischl is 15 minutes by car. There were chocolates and Prosecco on arrival and homemade jam to take home at the end of our stay. Gabriele was always on hand for info about the area. Highly recommended!

    lovely location, great in the summer and if you are there for the dark sky park (for those night photographers, or just astronomy lovers) its perfect. Go on a new moon though as that is when the sky is at its best.

    A beautiful lakeside place.

    A beautiful lakeside place. Not far from many sites and attractions in the lakes area (not more than an hour's drive). About 15 minutes drive from Bad Ischl. The town closes very early in tbe evening.

    I spent there a week of which 3 days were raining an 3 were clear. In the sunny days I had 3 excusions in the mountains and to Hallstatt. Ebensee is a very good starting point for different attractions (cable car lines, lake cruises, museums and other) which are availabe on spot or in the 15-45 minures car drive. The town offers good relation between price and quality.

    Typical Austrian family run hotel. Very good restaurant which serves delicious regional meals. 👍 Convenient parking just on the hotel real estate plot. Easy access to the road network, Eni petrol station nearby. For those travelling by train, train station is some 250 meters from the hotel. But you will never hear the trains. 👍 Super practical place to stay to discover the region of Traunsee or starting your trip in the mountains.

    The excellent location of the accommodation made it possible to make trips to the nearby mines, as well as to the Alps. It was nice to return "home" for a full day's hike. Even though the accommodation is located next to the railway, the sound of the train could not be heard. If we come to the same corners of Austria, we will primarily look for this accommodation, it was so good.

    We loved our stay! The apartment is amazing, newly renovated and very well taken care of! The kitchen is very well equipped. We were close by the lake and a lot of things to do in the area, we also love the little city of Ebensee! Nicole was the kindest host, the communication was great! She recommended a lot of activities to do and places to visit in the area :)
