A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The ski resort is excellent.
The ski resort is excellent. A large number of slopes of all levels. Possibility to ski through up to 5 valleys. The slopes are good groomed. Flachau was nice quiet and cosy for now.
Flachau was nice quiet and cosy for now. I am sure that next month it will be more crowded since the saison starts in December. The apartment was excellent. Big and nice skiing area with many lifts and slopes for all. We often visited restaurant Unterbergalm and herzeralm which I can recommend. There are many places to eat and have fun on the slopes. Small, quiet village, the home of the legendary downhill...
Small, quiet village, the home of the legendary downhill skier Herman Meier, with a bank, small supermarket and bakery, approximately 1.25 hour’s car drive (traffic allowing) from Salzburg airport. A number of restaurants and central ski lift (‘Spacejet 1’) taking you up the mountain with good connecting lifts. Most runs are red so perhaps not the best for the nervous beginner. The village has a good ski bus connection and at least one of the ski rental shops right by the lift allows you to leave skis and boots overnight so you don’t have to carry them to and from your accommodation. I skied at the end of Feb 2023 and there was plenty of snow and sun on the slopes.Guest review byNeilGermany

The hotel is in beautiful calm place, right next to the skiing lift. Rooms are like new, clean and comfortable. They serve very good breakfast - as a gluten, dairy and egg intolerant I was still able to have a proper tasty breakfast. Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful in hotel and restaurant too. Perfect for peaceful evenings or joining the night life. The balcony has a wonderful view of the Mountains and Flachau and you can sit outside to enjoy the scenery. Starting from the reception - Staff was really helpful and gave us all needed information. The room was clean and comfy. The Hotel is pet friendly - our Westie got a snack as a welcome gift.
