A very old historic building of the 14thC. Neat and spacious common areas, good sized bedrooms; down feather amenities; logo slippers, gowns, and ten out of ten heating; very clean spa. Linen change as you wished and towels daily. Breakfast: it was above and beyond with fresh produce and a full basket of local dishes, Austrian hams and cheeses, scrambled eggs, fluffy viennese croissants, vegan & vegetarian diets, breads, desserts etc and a large assortment of juices, teas & coffees. Lunch and dinner: it was a pleasant experience too. The service of the staff: was excellent with very polite staff available to assist you in any in-house enquiries to suggestions for outdoor experiences. Location: location was value for money! Hotel in a small village, next to a large market center, a 14min drive to Salzburg Old Town and a 45min drive to the closest ski resort. We would definitely return to this gasthouse.

Highly recommend! Top service, amenities, well thought design interior! A feeling of house/villa but with everything that you need and in top quality! Super clean everywhere! Great location- in the good centre of Salzburg , not in the touristic part, but near (8 min walk) Don’t miss the breakfast! Amazing and fresh choices! Great atmosphere! Me and my partner stayed at Romantikhotel over Christmas for a few days. Firstly, the views are absolutely stunning, set up in the mountains with gorgeous views over Salzburg. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff into the cosy bar area and checked in to a gorgeous room, the beds were SO comfortable, absolutely spotless and nice and warm. The food was outrageously good, in particular the steak tartare was the best I have ever had and we couldn’t fault the service, all wonderful and very relaxed and recommended us beautiful wines to drink. Our flight home ended up being delayed and the staff were absolutely wonderful and were very luckily able to let us stay an extra night. I’m so pleased we chose Romantikhotel to stay for Christmas, it was honestly stunning and can’t recommend it enough. 10/10 service, 10/10 food, and 10/10 room - would 100% stay again. If you love your walking and hiking there are also plenty of walking trails to do from the hotel, and the staff were all so helpful with providing us maps and explaining the easy bus timetable to get into Salzburg to explore the city (or you can walk approx 1.5hours to get into the city). Thankyou all SO much for making our Christmas so perfect, we will be back!

    We were surprised that for a family with 2 small children, we were given an aparatment that had in fact two communicating rooms. The location is near Salzburg, it is a very good hotel for a shot stay, to visit the mountains or Salzburg. The Indian restaurant had some delicious food. The breakfast was good, not many options but enough. That lady from the breakfast room was very attentive to the children, she gave them some candies on our way out.

    Clean, cozy and specious room. For 5 people 2 rooms and 1,5 bathrooms. Great location, close to Salzburg and shops . Nice breakfast. Staff very polite, friendly and helpful. The Indian restaurant next to the hotel is great and has tasteful food.

    Lovely homely hotel just outside Salzburg. Bus stop just outside that brings you into Salzburg and grocery shop just up the road. Sylvia the host was friendly and very helpful. Would recommend
