I was here for one night on 5th October.
I was here for one night on 5th October. The town was dead but I have no doubt this is a wonderful place to stay in the summer for a walking or cycling holiday. In the evening there was only one restaurant open,Gasthof Gruber which was excellent. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was closed but as the town represented the Marie Celeste this was not surprising. Our summer trip to Wurzeralm was amazing.
Our summer trip to Wurzeralm was amazing. We took the Wurzeralm cable car and then the Frauenkar so we could get quite easily to the Ramesch peak (2119 m) even with kids. It's close to two national parks and there are even more mountains around. Room was big enough, everything clean. There are hiking trails starting right from the hotel.
