    I might be biased, I was born in Spittal an der Drau, but the town has certainly some charm on it's own. The renaissance Schloß Porcia, roman excavation in nearby Teurnia, the surrounding landscapes with lakes, mountains offering plenty opportunities for hiking, swimming and enjoyment of the local food specialties.

    Wonderful place in the Alps next to the Millstättersee with...

    Wonderful place in the Alps next to the Millstättersee with pass access to most of the lake facilities for free. Very child friendly place with a great garden/playground. Excellent breakfast and big spacious room immaculately clean. And most importantly: very kind and very relaxed hosts! Highly recommended.

    Great ski area Goldeck.

    Great ski area Goldeck. It is small comparing to well known ski regions in Austria. But it offers perfectly prepared slopes and amazing views. We were there on the beginning of March and there were almost no people. We enjoyed empty slopes with no queues anywhere. Also the price for family ski pass was very good. You have also free entry to local swimming pool if you buy a full day ski ticket.

    Patricia who runs the hotel is an absolute star. She runs the hotel almost singlehandedly with a smile on her face and a can do attitude. Boss man, keep this lady! The hotel itself is clean and tidy and the breakfast they serve is very good. We would recommend this hotel to others.

    honestly, not too much, because this hotel DID NOT DESERVE 4* at all, maybe it was as it was built looong ago!.. and I got an upgrade! 😱 so how the normal room would look like!? ..but the towels and bed linen were good and clean.

    Had an amazing time when we stayed here. Our car broke down so the plan wasn’t to stay in this town at all but glad we did! Super friendly family running the hotell and amazing views. Plus was all the animals running around :)

    Good location and pets friendly 🙏🐕 This is an old hotel with history, a lot of historic photos on walls. Not a fancy one so don’t expect anything crazy. Just good friendly place, good people, pets allowed!
