Vanessa, Alexander and Sophia were absolutely wonderful. Vanessa cheerfully helped with booking glitch even though she was super busy in restaurant kitchen. She is a dear. Alex was was accommodating and sweet and Sophia was so nice at breakfast. Loved the place. Absolutely charming. Beautiful place. Extremely well kept and clean. Great Hospitality!

Place is very clean, close to the A10 highway, Rooms are big, kitchen is well equipped, the children enjoyed to fed rabbits and gather eggs each morning from the henhouse, wonderful hosts and above all panoramic view that stretched all over. Nestled in the heart of breathtaking scenery, with a panoramic view that stretched all over. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts, Michaela and Martin, whose hospitality set the tone for an extraordinary stay. Proximity to the A10 highway was convenient for our day trips, the apartment itself exuded modern elegance combining comfort and style, allowing to focus on the breathtaking views that beckoned from every window.

An amazing location- can’t call them staff. This is a family run hotel and they make you feel like family from the moment you arrive! And the food is incredible. I feel very fortunate to have this Austrian alpine gem!!

    Werfen is a city where you can relax but, at the same time, it is a starting point for many activities / destinations From the accommodation at Werfener Hof (here we also ate good traditional food) we visited the Hohenwerfen castle, the Bischschofen waterfall, the 7 mills in Pfarrwerfen. We spent a day in Salzburg (60 km) and in the Celtic village of Hallein (the cetic museum and the salt mine) (6 km from Salzburg). Another day we went on the Grossglokner alpine road (101 km to the glacier), which is worth seeing at least once in your life.

    Incredible catle right in front of Bergclick hotel with hawks and eagles demonstrartions at 11 and 15 o'clock and Wisriesenwelt, an enormous cave with ice all around inside that makes you feel like walking innanother world during a guided tour.

    This town is a must visit for someone who is looking for something different. Eisriesenwelt is largest Ice Cave in the world and it is totally worth it, nice little adventure. There is also Hohenwerfen fortress next to the town, it was interesting to me as it was filming location of Where Eagles Dare, a great WWII themed film with Burton and Eastwood. But sadly it was not emphasised enough in castle itself. In any case great place to visit. I bet it is beautiful in winter too for the guys who like snow and skiing.

    We had a fantastic 10 day stay at this charming accomodation. The view from our room/balcony was amazing and the hostess was ever so friendly. It was easy to visit attractions nearby (like Salzburg, Burg Hohenwerfen, Salzachklamm) and also further away (like the beautiful monastry library of Stift Admont), since the accommodation is very close to the highway (but not too close). We loved the breakfast, which was served to every guest personally every day. We highly recommend a stay at Rettenbachgut!

    Great location with amazing view. The staff was extremely friendly, the room clean and comfortable and breakfast delicious. Definitely recommend arriving by car (free parking is on site). There are a few really good restaurants in nearby town. Hohenwerfen Castle is a must to visit. We were happy to see there a program with flying falcons, bald eagles and griffon vultures.
