I have to say I don't understand why people visit here other...
I have to say I don't understand why people visit here other than that it's somewhere to stay and also eat before heading off to the various natural attractions. There was no charm or character. I feel like I missed something. It was just a dumpy, dreary town with the odd boring historical building. The best part of Alice Springs would be the Desert Wildlife Park which was excellent, but I couldn't see that it had anything else going for it.Guest review byRebeccaAustralia - 10.0

We unfortunately encountered 2 days of rain on our 2 day stay. Guidebooks helped us get around and choose activities to do indoors. Alice Springs is a beautiful country town.
Alice Springs is a beautiful country town. The landscapes are spectacular along with the smells of the gorgeous gum trees. If you love walking there are lots of walking paths to wander amongst the beautiful landscapes. There's a lot to like- nice surrounds and trees,, good car parking, nice pool, restaurant onsite with outside seating aswell. I had a lovely meal and breakfast there. Staff were lovely and helpful. An average room, the bathroom was great-updated, good shower pressure. The room was quiet too, I couldn't hear tv's or voices from other rooms.
