Very pleasant country town, good bakeries and coffee shops, interesting to walk around and see the local architecture and visit OP Shops. Had a pleasant picnic breakfast in the park at the end of the main street. Lovely drive to the nearby settlement of 'Neville' with it's quirky pub and nursery coffee shop.

Blayney is a perfect place to stay as a country retreat. A road trip such as Millthorpe, Carcoar and Rockley Villages are a must.
The Royal Hotel Blayney do a great pub meal and be in time on a Friday night for the meat raffle.

A quiet little town, not too far from the main town of Bathurst. We ate at the Royal Hotel which was a short walk from the motel. Food was good! We were able to buy supplies at the very large supermarket in town. a good base to visit the other little towns nearby.

Upon arrival the hotel manager was extremely helpful and gave local tips and advice about where to eat and what to see.
The rooms were well prepared and nicely presented.
All amenities and heating worked a treat.

Blayney is a lovely, quaint town with adequate facilities. It is close to Bathurst, Orange and Cowra, as well as other smaller rural towns.
My trip was to visit family.
Sadly, the Exchange Hotel is not “old-world” but in need of razing or major repair.
As shown in the photos, the windows were nearly falling out and the glass was 2cm above the window sill.
Despite being the only guests, there was old food in the kitchen fridge, bathroom effects in every shower cubicle and animal faeces in one of the showers that was there for our entire stay (unsure when bathrooms were last cleaned, the long black hairs in the bath were a nice effect as well).
Don’t pin your hopes on a bottle of sparkling, or the correct glasses to drink from..... it may be a pub, but no sparkling wine here

Blayney was a small town that had supplies.
Blayney was a small town that had supplies. It has a wonderful Thai takeaway, 9&9, that made dishes to suit various dietary needs. It had a great kids park near the motel and ample places for kids to ride bikes. Being there alone there was not much to do and it was a cold day so I briefly looked around town then went back to the motel. A must see and a highlight of my road trip was Mithorpe, a beautiful country boutique town with wonderful bargains, only 10 minutes from Blayney. Lovely chocolate shop, the turmeric latte was not good, but there was other cafe's/coffee places. The town centre is off the main street and you would not know it was open on a Sunday as the main street was quiet.

Centrally located in Blayney. Motel was spotlessly clean and the owner was very welcoming and informative re the local area. Beds were comfortable and we had a lovely stay there. Recommend.
