0The room is very spacious with good lighting. Decor is good. Wide selection of food in breakfast. Both Highland Resturant and Tavern Bistro are delicious. Spotted wallaby and wombat right in front of the shop. Very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

SingaporeReally nice and private accomodation. Each cottage has a balcony that faces an open clearing. In the evenings you can watch local birdlife and wildlife in this area. We saw pademelons and many birds.

The timing of our trip and very little crowd was the best...
The timing of our trip and very little crowd was the best part. Having pretty much Dove lake to ourselves was amazing. The weather was a bit so so but it’s was all prt of the experience. It’s an amazing, beautiful place. A must is to do the dove lake circuit and the Roony Creek to Dove lake. Walks are fairly easy and 80% on boardwalks. Marion’s lookout is a definite for next trip. It is a special place but visitors need to know that there are no additional facilities there. Ensure you have a full tank of petrol and purchase some goodies to take with you because once you are there you are a "trapped" audience. One of the best World Heritage Sites there is!
One of the best World Heritage Sites there is! Stunning days no matter the weather! Be prepared if you are going to do any of the longer walks and follow the directions of the maps and staff. Cradle mountain a place must visit when you are coming to Tasmania. Pleasantly surprised. Beautiful location, stunning rooms and a good restaurant. Would like to see the restaurant open for breakfast. The buildings were very appropriate for the location. I love the short walks available for mobility impaired...
I love the short walks available for mobility impaired people, as well as the many other tracks for fitter people. Scenery is lovely and the ever-changing light is magical. I really enjoyed wandering around Waldheim Chalet area and meandering along the Weindorfer Forest Walk where I found lots of fungi. The fagus at this location was easily found and captured by camera. Also great were public toilets located near the Chalet. I love frost and I was lucky to get some interesting frosty pics on the ground.Guest review byGayleneAustralia

Warm log fire, warm comfortable beds, surrounded by ancient trees and visited by wallabies at night! There's even a tame young female wombat ambling around, quite unphased by us humans.
