TaiwanWe stayed in Greg’s property for 1 night in Oct., 2024. Greg was a very nice and welcoming host, and the lodge was clean. The breakfast was also great! Some of the facilities (e.g. the fridge in our lodge) isn’t fully working due to cyclone Jasper’s damage. However, it was totally understandable as the entire area hasn’t fully recovered from the damage yet, and Greg did his best to make things as comfortable as possible. The free WiFi in room was working and was in reasonable speed. We highly recommend staying in Greg’s property when visiting Daintree / Diwan area!

CroatiaWe recently stayed at The Ridge House with our two young children and had the most incredible family experience. The house is absolutely amazing, tucked away in nature with breathtaking views. We were so impressed by how everything is done with such respect for the nature, from the decor to the stunning views, this house was created to honor both the environment and the human spirit. It's a place that feels wild and wonderfully cozy at the same time. We loved exploring the area and going to the beach, but the most liberating part was simply being in the house. Even though we aren't a quiet family, the peace of the place seemed to take us in, making every moment feel truly magical and lovely. It's the perfect place to reconnect and return to what truly matters.

Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. 4 days was awesome, 1. Atherton tablelands, 2 indigenous tour / learn to spear fish & other indigenous ways, look for different bush foods, 3. Bruce belcher croc trip, mossman gorge and cultural tour by indigenous leader 4. Pt Douglas, reef trip, shopping or day spa! 5. Daintree Village ferry and high-top walk way 6. Go see Donna at Daintree Wild and hear about her fabulous stories of running the old zoo, which is now a bed and breakfast! Daintree was lovely and we enjoyed birdwatching, exploring some of the surrounding tracks and, particularly, an early-morning birding trip on the Daintree River. A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib. We missed the Cassowary Falls as they wanted $59 per adult to enter. So sadly, no where nearby for a free swim in the heat. Ferry over the river was $45 return which is pricey for a 2 minute trip across. The DVH Pub over the road had great bar staff with meals and drinks very affordable and yummy. The manager even put the T20 world cup cricket final on the TV for us. The café at Thornton Beach had great views and tasty sour dough sandwiches. Recommend a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream park too as they were fantastic flavors and only $7.50 for a tub of four varieties!Guest review byIanP65Australia - 10.0

Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree. Can't wait to visit again. Cassowary falls was amazing and I would recommend the Eco Lodge for dinner. Unfortunately we missed out on daintree icecream but won't next visit. Dave at Solarwhisper tours was amazing with his personal knowledge of the local crocs and wildlife. Swimming in the Emmagen creek was fun, we should have gone to the blue holes for a swim but will have too next time also. So we did this stop last minute just because of the location. We were not expecting a 5 star resort but what they offered was just fine. The owner of the property carried my bags and gave us travel advise about the Caleb Track. Told me to call if I got stuck crossing river. Awesome Guy. They also helped us book a crocodile cruise as well. you can walk from your room to the dock. The Pub across the street was spectacular. Had one of the best meals in Australia there.
