    We used a door code which was sent on the day of check in.

    We used a door code which was sent on the day of check in. Clear and easy instructions. Location of the house is perfect, just a few minutes away from the resort. My 19-month old daughter enjoyed the snow in the backyard very much. Good restaurants around the area too. The village is beautiful especially in the snow. Highly recommend!

    Dinner Plain is my favourite place in Australia.

    Dinner Plain is my favourite place in Australia. We make the annual drive down from Sydney to give our dogs snow holidays. It’s such a lovely alpine village with nice restaurants, bars and beautiful chalets to stay. The village has no entry fees, plenty of parking, lots of activities for kids and those that love nature like xc skiing and snow shoeing. Dogs are very welcome here and I will continue to choose to holiday here for my dogs. The village staff are also so accommodating and lovely. For more advanced ski runs DP is a short drive from Hotham.

    We had an incredible one-night stay at Bogong Chalet — the property was immaculately clean, beautifully organised, and offered the perfect blend of coziness and alpine charm. From the warm, inviting interiors to the peaceful snow-covered surroundings, everything exceeded our expectations. It felt like a luxury retreat tucked away in nature, and we left feeling completely refreshed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, tranquillity, and a magical mountain escape!

    Small town vibe, restaurants get booked out highly recommend booking in advance. Nice and quiet. Supermarket pricey but not unexpected. Best to bring food for cooking yourself. Cold and picturesque, great place for families. Easy access to Hotham if that’s what you are after.

    There was only snow for the first days of our stay.

    There was only snow for the first days of our stay. The ski slope was operating, but the cross-country trails were out of action. It was a short drive towards Mt Hotham, and the snow improved. We found a suitable trail over the road from the toboggan slope, Which was excellent.

    Dinner Plain is a quieter alternative to Hotham.

    Dinner Plain is a quieter alternative to Hotham. You’ve still got a gentle ski slope and tobogganing area so good for kids and beginners. The town itself is just beautiful. Several choices of pubs and eateries. It’s easy to get to Wire Plain and Hotham via shuttle bus. A beautiful place.

    Loved the fireplace and the lounge area! The property is also situated right behind the main slope for skiing, so that was very convenient. We could walk to the main parts of Dinner Plain (eg cafes, Hoys ski rental etc). The host was also extremely responsive and friendly.

    Easy to enter & we were given early entry. The location was perfect, close to bus stop to Mt Hotham & Dinner Plain slopes. Open fire place was fabulous, we had lots of wood but had to buy matches & more kindling ( not a problem as they are available in the store).

    great location, just on one of the main streets of Dinner Plain, next to the general store and facing a restaurant. The apartment is spacious for 2 couples, it has some boardgames to keep you entertained.
