I enjoyed the High Tea on the Hotham Valley Railway train, which also do a Restaurant Tea Sat nights and a train ride that takes you through the countryside, all great for families & couples. Being in walking distance of everything.
It was lovely to walk around the town, go to the pub for a drink and food. Lots of other lovely cafes and restaurants to go/drive to. Such as Vergone's just 10mins out of town. All great for families.
Town people were very friendly and happy to share history of the town.

Dwellingup is a lovely town but very small.
Dwellingup is a lovely town but very small. There are no supermarkets to buy food. Forestry discovery centre was nice to visit. Cafes were also good but pricey. We had a problem finding any cafes open at night other than the pub. Some cafes were not worth visiting as they had no air-conditioning.

We went Kayaking, mountain bike riding and bush walking at nearby reserve. Enjoyed the fire place and the outdoor fire pit. Some wood was supplied with fire lighters to help get them going. Really peaceful outlook onto maintained grounds and garden, and further outlook into the forest. Kangaroos with joeys on the lawn, blue wren and other birds in the forest and garden.

Great weekend get away. Not too far from Perth.
Hotman train really worthwhile.
Wine tree Cidery also was a great visit.
Treetop Adventures not far away. Was a great experience for all ages.
Lots of walks close by or if you prefer bike trails.
All equipment available for hire in Dwellingup.
Will return.

Enjoyed the scenery and small town ambience and friendly helpful people. The walk through the forest was lovely and the countryside beautiful! Lovely eating places and the carrot cake from Verona Irchard out of this world

Dwellingup is set in Jarrah forest.
Dwellingup is set in Jarrah forest. We visited primarily to have dinner on the Etmlyn Forest train. However there were several cafes and the pub where we could eat breakfast lunch and dinner. Also, had the weather been better the Murray river and forest provide great possibilities for canoeing and walking.
