I booked Fernleigh with the greatest of expectations.
I booked Fernleigh with the greatest of expectations. A quality rental with exceptional service is what was promised. If only the hype exceeded the end product. Fernleigh is by all expectations an fabulous property, however it is let down by its management agency Lois Buckett and Associates. Lois Buckett is very happy to take your money and manage what should be a high class experience, $1000 a day brings with it expectations. On day three of our rental the oven stopped working. It took a further two days for an electrician to arrive and pronounce the oven broken and needing repair. He was unable to repair the oven and recommended I contact Lois Buckett. I did contact Lois Buckett and was told the gas barbecue (with a $50 cleaning fee attached) might be a suitable alternative. It appears Fernleigh has a number of electrical problems that have not been fixed. This was conveyed by the attending electrician and the handyman. Needless to say this left a sour taste in my mouth. An email to Lois Buckett Associates requesting compensation for the amenities not available was met with a most disappointing response. I was directed to the Terms and Conditions of the rental. No explanation, no apology and certainly no invitation to discuss the matter I would advise anyone interested in renting Fernleigh to be very careful.
