Stayed during what will be known as the 2022 floods - our original route to Goondiwindi was closed, so we gave the reception a call - the owner (I misheard but I think Brian) gave us fantastic advice that got us there only slightly later than planned, and actually gave us a follow-up call to make sure we were doing okay! The next day he was able to give us some great pointers for our onward travel and a good nearby breakfast spot. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. My partner and I had to do some work (we work remotely), and the WiFi was strong enough for my partner to attend a few Zoom meetings without a hitch. All-in-all, a fantastic stay. Unfortunately we won't be going through Goondiwindi again, but we'd stay here again if we did.

    Loved walking around Goondiwindi - will be back to check out more. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. We had a great meal from downstairs and we enjoyed the chance to chill out on the upstairs verandah.

    We were very pleasantly surprised by the size and appearance of the town. Well maintained shops, very clean with none empty. Stayed an extra night to do the town and country tour with Goondiwindi Cotton. It was really interesting and informative - well worth doing. The museum was also really interesting, and not old and musty like some are.

    Enjoyed a beautiful meal at the Victoria Hotel in the main street. It was easy to get around most places. I visited the local nursery and bought some plants. Great shops in the CBD and I loved the walk along the Macintyre River Walkway. So many other things I would love to have done. A really lovely town with a lot to offer and I love visiting.

    Goondiwindi is a well placed large border town in mid western Queensland, with most services well catered for. Can get very hot in summer, so air con is a must at night. Seems like a large proportion of FIFO (Fly in, Fly out) employees during the weekdays, probably associated with the cotton industry in the area. We found very decent and cost effective dining at the Railway Hotel in Goondiwindi, other travelers said they enjoyed a meal at the Bao Bao Chinese restaurant in the main street. For the main, the townsfolk are country people, and tend to be quite friendly.

    Goondiwindi is a lovely town.

    Goondiwindi is a lovely town. However, and a big however, it has a substantial crime problem of which we were unaware beforehand. Visitors need to be aware of this and be very conscious of their personal security and the security of their property.

    Great town, and this was our second stay there.

    Great town, and this was our second stay there. I'd like to stay a couple of days next time, and really explore the area, but this is half way on a 1400km trip to our daughter, so we are either in a rush to get there, or we are just wanting to get home.

    The best hotel in Gundy😆😆😆 We arrived at 8pm,the staff is very enthusiastic ,and 🐶🐶🐶are very friendly.The bed is large and soft,the pillows are enough,the room is also very clear,we have a good night in Border,i will comeback when i arrive Gundy next time.
