The town of Gundagai is full of history. You really need a few more days to discover everything. The RSL club has meals but unfortunately not open for dinner Mon-Wed. A few pubs to eat at that are very nice. Freindly people & staff at most shops we visited although not a lot open on Turesdays

It is interesting to visit Gundagai for a short visit.

It is interesting to visit Gundagai for a short visit. I was mainly interested in having a stopover on my way to Bendigo. The local coffee shop is expensive. The Services club staff are great but the food offering is not as good as previously. Beware the breathalyser in the morning at the Northern exit!

Darley Cottage at Kimo Estate is a wonderful location - the scenery spectacular and it is so peaceful with lovely birdlife to watch from the front verandah. The house was very clean and very comfortable beds with good linen etc. Contact from the owner was only by automated text, but provided plenty of information about finding the place, rules and suggested activities around Gundagai.
