Being an artist and writer-I enjoyed taking pictures to sketch when I get home. I love the old Bookshop / Opp Shop in downtown Katoomba! The library to check a few information for my writing. I stopped at the Cultural Centre to see an exhibition. Took pictures of Street Art! Hopped on the local bus-great service. I told them so. Did a short bush walk as well. Getting too old for the long walks!!!

It’s a beautiful town with lots to do and beautiful scenery surrounding it. We stayed at the Mountain Heritage Hotel which was fantastic, and so beautiful with amazing views. I really enjoyed walking around the Main Street checking out all the cool shops and cafes, visiting Odd mountain was definitely a highlight and so was having pizza for dinner at Rustico. Katoomba Falls was also a beautiful spot that I’ll remember forever. I’d love to visit again

The Blue Mountains visit was INCREDIBLE.

The Blue Mountains visit was INCREDIBLE. The Town itself is somewhat run down so choose your hotel wisely, the Carrington looks to be the best option within the Town. Ideally, a train journey from Sydney (approx 2 hours) would suffice for a full days visit.

Many tourists; not many eateries; parking meters not good; rsl club a hoot but needs more seating; eccentric characters a bonus. A nice walkable cbd. Great train station. Friendly vibe. Mountain magic.

Loved the general Katoomba area, magnificent views of the mountains and so picturesque with a variety of galleries and good quality shopping in surrounding villages. Friendly atmosphere. The Lost Bear Gallery is a must see if you like fine art. Just to see the beautifully renovated building housing the art work is worthwhile. We loved The Katoomba area and will definitely visit again.

We enjoyed The Yellow Deli in Katoomba for lunch.

We enjoyed The Yellow Deli in Katoomba for lunch. Our main reason for staying in Katoomba was that we visited The Japanese bathhouse and didn't want accommodation around the bathhouse location. We enjoyed an amazing dinner at Aarana in Springwood. We could have done better than this hotel accommodation for the price (nearly $700 for x2 nights, no breakfast or extras included). The floors were creaky, our room was dark, the windows were small. The view mediocre (view to the carpark!). Air BnB would have been a more affordable and happier option. We'll remember this next time we stay in the Blue Mountains.

Our host went the extra mile to welcome my wife and I on arrival. She took the time to explain everything we needed to know and even shared some local knowledge on good spots for dining out and coffee. The unit was comfy, clean and we loved how the place was decorated. The bedroom and bathroom were huge. We loved our short stay and highly recommend this place for couples looking for something very different compared to normal hotel rooms. Close to shops and dining in Katoomba and close to Echo Point.

The property was amazing, the view was beautiful, the fireplace was so good, kept us warm the entire time! It was very clean. They provided everything you would need in the kitchen, and in the bathroom. The bedrooms were very clean and stocked up with blankets and pillows. We’ve been to many hotels and none have been as clean and comfortable as this. We had the best stay at emerald view. If we go up to Katoomba again, we’ll definitely be staying here.

This was a unique and kooky place to stay and far more fun than a boring hotel room. It is close to Katoomba if you wanted to walk in for a meal and a few drinks however, the place has a nice little garden and decking area to relax with a barbecue if you wanted to spend the evening there. The hot tub was lovely and warm on arrival and stayed warm for the entire duration. The staff were very friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any enquiries.

The hotel is in a convenient place re Katoomba's attractions. The room was a good size, comfortable but there was a shower over a bath - not our preferred to just a. shower. The continental breakfast that was included our rate was good

The hotel is located an easy walk to the main street of Katoomba, which is pretty much its best feature. Staff were friendly and helpful.
