The Pavillion Collection is in an unbeatable location, right on the beach, and our room with a bay view was absolutely stunning. It felt more like a beautifully designed home rather than just a rental. The attention to detail was incredible—gorgeous furniture, carefully curated decor, and even thoughtfully selected books on the shelves. This wasn’t just a generic apartment; it had a real sense of style and personality, as if someone had designed it with love and care. Some standout features were the Terrazzo tables, the incredibly comfortable bed, and the beautiful sliding door between the living room and bedroom, which gave the space an elegant and cozy feel. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time, not just a spot to sleep. While the music from Paradiso downstairs was quite loud, they stopped playing at 9:30 PM, so it wasn’t an issue at all. We are truly grateful to have spent two nights here—a fantastic place and an absolute must-stay! 10/10 or more

I especially loved the fact that it is so peaceful and quiet, and still very close to town. Super clean as well, with everything you need to prepare your own meals. The aircon works great and is really quiet, and the staff is super friendly! Would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Airlie!

There are two resorts in the island. Palm Bay is the lesser expensive one, Elysian the more up market. Getting there is very easy from Schute Harbour, only 30 minutes. There are a few good hikes on the island.

It's a beautiful remote island with nothing but a resort on there. Great to disconnect from the busy city life. There's nature activities to do such as bush walks, and if you're staying at the Palm Bay resort you can hire kayaks, snorkelling equipment and stinger suits for free.

Walks through the rainforest were a highlight, as was paddling off shore, particularly at sunset. Wonderful views over the water from our balcony and also great to get to know some of the other guests, lounging at the sunset bar.

We stayed at Palm Bay which is very beautiful.

We stayed at Palm Bay which is very beautiful. Amazing sunsets! We did a couple of walks - no more than 2 hours each. There are other nice beaches around but we were happy to mostly stay at Palm Bay. There were whales offshore for two days when we were there which was very special. BYO some of your food if you are staying for a few days.

Stunning beautiful location, private and quiet. The restaurant and pool area was lovely. Meal were fantastic, great value, generous servings and variety. Meal times were also long so you never felt like you would miss out if you wanted to eat early or late. Sunset drinks at the beach bar with happy hour! Great walking tracks over to other beaches.

My daughter and I recently spent a week at Palm Bay Resort on Long Island and loved everything about the resort - the natural scenery and wildlife, the laid back style of the bures and sunset pavilion right on the beach and leisurely meals at Curlews restaurant. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and accommodating. We also spent some time on beautiful Hamilton Island but my heart is at Long Island.

The hotel is nested in really beautiful surroundings. Even for those not wanting to leave Long Island, there are activities hikes, games, and snorkelling. The staff was extremely friendly and happy to assist with booking activities around the other islands. The room was a good size, very clean, and a good size balcony with a hammock where we spent a lot of time watching the sunset ♡.

This hotel for us was the definition of paradise. It is the only thing that is located on this small island, and you are in the most beautiful surroundings. Even though you have to take all meals and drinks at the hotel, we liked everything we had very much and had an amazing time here.
