A quiet and friendly town.
The main street has a good selection of shops.
Plenty of options to dine out or take away food available.
Fuel, groceries and hardware in town.
We really enjoyed the Meningie Hotel and Bakery during our stay.
Fairly flat in most areas with good path's to walk on, not a large amount of traffic on local roads.

I didn't think that there was a lot to do in Meningie but it's position on Lake Albert makes it a good place to stop and take in the extraordinary and beautiful land of the Coorong. We are glad we stopped there to break up our trip between Robe and Goolwa so that we could take time to savour the experience of Coorong country and surrounds.
I highly recommend at least one the off bitumen loop tracks on your travel and the ferry crossing of the Murray at Wellington is a must-do.

Nice quiet place to visit, lovely park and playground on the foreshore opposite the shops . Not a lot to do in winter apart from some nice walks and drink in the scenery with a glss of wine . A kayak in summer would be great on the lake.

We stayed in the family room as we needed a twin and it was perfect. The bathroom was a little compact but it was spotless and had everything you would need. Comfy bed with a good quality mattress also helped me get a good sleep.

It’s a sweet little town.
It’s a sweet little town. I’m not big on shopping but the local supermarket is great.
There’s a bakery which is pretty good as well, and a decent pub just down the street.
The lake is so beautiful with some nice drives nearby. And of course the Coorong, it’s spectacular.

Scenic location directly opposite the Lake.
A coffee machine so we could have a real coffee in the morning before heading out.
Very friendly town with adequate shops and services available.
A quiet area but only 500 m from the town centre, hotel, IGA, bakery and other shops.
A good supply of consumables was included, laundry detergent, toilet rolls etc.
Very good accommodation, in fact a complete house with everything you need. Friendly host. We felt welcome and at home. Meningie is a good base for exploring the Coorong. Don't miss the fresh mullet, you can buy at the butcher.
Spacious room with 2 beds; room happened to be set back from road (don't like traffic noise); glad no one had TV on since I'm sure we'd have heard that too. Right next to Meningie parkrun for Saturdays!
