Location couldn't have been better, a stone's throw away from the harbour with all restaurants along the coast. Right in the heart of the central street with Woolworths being a 2 minute walk away. We didn't eat at the connecting restaurant but it looked amazing. Perfect for Koala sanctuary too !

Everything was good. We loved our lil apartment. We only used one bedroom and wish we just booked 1 room and got single mattresses. But all was good. A lil too cold for me and girls to enjoy the pool but only my husband got to take a dip and it was very refreshing. Other then that all was food. Loved it, the view was beautiful. Loved it.

    Nelson Bay is just great.

    Nelson Bay is just great. I dont live too far, in Newcastle, but we always had family trips to the bay for Christmas. And I want my son to have the same experiences I did when I was younger. It is just far away that it really does feel like we are on holidays somewhere alot further away. The shops, the cafes, the resturants, bars, everything is at your door step. Summer time is amazing, the bay has the most beautiful colours, everyone enjoying the sun. It is definitely 10/10

    Nelson Bay is amazing!

    Nelson Bay is amazing! It's THE DESTINATION if you enjoy peace, quiet and nature :) All the surroundings beaches are worth the visit too! I had few good meals over the weekend, but highlights include Essence Cafe and Taj Tandoori Indian. If you are fish and chips kind of person - Aussie fish and chips is the best! Parking in Nelson Bay is expensive, so best to park your car but out of the center for free parking.

    Great location with a wide variety of activities for all ages, great walk to top of Mt Tomaree, history with the gun locations, sand driving lots of awesome big and small beaches, too much too mention

    The marina was amazing and the people in the shops and...

    The marina was amazing and the people in the shops and restaurants were friendly and had suggestions for eating out. We found a lovely cafe for lunch and then enjoyed a delicious dinner at Buoys. In the morning, we had breakfast at a gorgeous cafe located in a home wares store. A few purchases were made here. There is paid parking in the main streets for one hour so moving the car was the only issue with spending more time shopping and exploring the town. In warmer weather we would explore the water activities. Worth the trip off the motorway for Nelson Bay when travelling between Brisbane and Sydney.

    Nelson Bay is so peaceful and friendly.

    Nelson Bay is so peaceful and friendly. We were just interested in relaxing for this stay. There is so much to do within a very small distance and Newcastle is less than an hour away. We returned from our stay totally refreshed. The Bowling Club have great meals and drinks.

    Given that we were travelling in winter and the weather was rainy, the atmosphere was somewhat glum. We have been travelling to Nelson Bay for quite a number of years and have always enjoyed our time there, but usually it has been in the summer time. The area and its beaches have always been very good and enjoyable.

    Lovely big house, nice spacious living areas. Short drive to several beaches and town. Our favorite calm water beach was Shoal Bay, perfect for swimming, clean and relaxed feel. Very quiet street and neighborhood. Big yard for cooking bbq, bbq equipment supplied. Comfortably sleeps 8 in 4 rooms. Downstairs can be used for 2 snorers or young family. Nice view of mountains, trees, ocean from the front. Front & back verandah good for relaxing and enjoying views. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you would need.

    Perfect house with great spaces indoor and out for our family to enjoy together. Great location, walking distance to Little Beach and Shoal Bay Beach. The air conditioning worked wonderfully on both floors. Very comfortable bedrooms and living-room. All was very well thought out and the property had a very well equipped, big kitchen to help with meal preparation. The internet was great as well. We had a great time and hope to be back!

    Kids loved the pool and how close everything was - a short stroll to town centre and marina or a short drive to the many lovely beaches of Nelson Bay. The stay was comfortable and had everything we needed for a family with two kids under 7. Recommended!
