    The beautiful beaches, with lots of dog-friendly spaces, friendly people, rolling countryside, great local shops (the pub/IGA/bottle shop/butcher and baker are all excellent). The Bowling Club looked great too, but we didn't go inside as it wasn't dog-friendly. We love the proximity to Berry, which has so much character and great places to eat. Had a fabulous lunch at the Husky Pub (dog friendly) in Huskisson, got soaked by the Blowhole in Kiama, saw dolphins swimming in Jervis Bay - magic!

    lovely little seaside town with well equipped beach facilities, local stores and a bowlo serving cold beer. Plenty of camping options around if needed. Close to wineries but not too close so privacy is guaranteed.

    The bowling club is a short walk from the resort which has a kids play area. Loved the landscape! Green hilly mountains, lots of animals and close to the water. The Shoal haven zoo was amazing and only a short drive to Jamberoo water park! Great spot overall!

    Shoalhaven Heads isn't spoiled with upmarket venues.

    Shoalhaven Heads isn't spoiled with upmarket venues. It retained it's essential shops for the needs of the locals and visitors alike rather than replaced them with coffee shops and cafes, though it still has these. The river is clean, wide and looking healthy. There is a world-famous Botanical Gardens, which everyone should take the time to explore. There's a lot of work being done by council to improve pedestrian access to the river and around the village. It's a good, safe destination for family holidays. Plus, it's not far from Nowra and Berry.
