We loved the historical interest. Beautiful clean township. Excellent parks quiet & friendly atmosphere. Great playground areas and picnic areas. And a good assortment of shopping facilities. A variety of interests are catered for. We really enjoyed the great Bakery there. A lovely breakfast & lunch.

Stawell is a very interesting historic town.

Stawell is a very interesting historic town. The local Stawell Gift Museum is well worth a visit. It details history of the internationally renowned foot race and is found at the grounds where the race is held. Lois was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Find the lookout for an overview of town and surrounding area. Couple of great cafes eateries in town. We were lucky enough to dine at the Stawell Harness Racing Bistro and you couldn't find better food. The wineries surrounding are well worth visiting in particular Best Winery.

We only stopped here on a long road trip so did not see much of the town. However there were very few good eating options - the pub was the best and it was very nice. The town is very good for an overnight stop but not sure what there is to do there otherwise.

A lovely town with great history , nice gardens , especially the Kato Lake area right in the heart of the town . Good choices of places to eat , highly recommend Trackside Tabaret for variety, quality and value for money . Also the Chinese restaurant in the main street . Close to The Grampians , wineries , and other nice places to explore .

easy access to the Grampians and surrounding areas , plenty of cafes for coffee and places to dine and takeaways , nice little town with friendly people . I would avoid the Diamond House Heritage Restaurant and Motor Inn ... for a start there is no restaurant , no microwave in the room and no room service

Great for a weekend getaway or short stay while visiting, Halls Gap, Stawell and surrounds. The motel is 20 mins away from Halls Gap, 15 mins away from Pomonal. The room was very clean and having a kettle, fridge, small pack of milk, toaster meant one could eat a quick brekky there in the room before heading out to explore the area. Easy parking and good location.

We used to walk to this original corner store with our Pop every time we visited Stawell from Adelaide. He was a regular. Recently we were back in town for his funeral, and the corner store B&B was the perfect location to stay in. It bought back beautiful childhood memories 🤍

What do we like? Well, we've been staying here, as our Stawell night-over, for 8-odd-years. Always clean, predictable, and even with changes in owners, still the same delivery against expectations. Will keep staying at Coorrabin.

Exactly what you expect from a motel. Comfortable and spacious. Pretty view and relaxing watching the birds and ducks on the pond.
