The Baxley Bondi is such a quaint boutique hotel, it is far from all action but in a perfectly quiet neighborhood. The place is close to bus stops and has access to food places and convenience store. The room was clean, the interior of the hotel was nicely done and aesthetically pleasing. The staff was also friendly and gave me topnotch service. The bathroom / shower in the hallway not sure if it is shared but it was spotless with free bodywash and shampoo which has a calming aromatic smell.

Everything - it was essentially a one-bedroom apartment, fully furnished including a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and refrigerator. We were VERY comfortable and found the staff very accommodating and engaging. It was very close to fabulous restaurants, a grocery store, the Train/Subway for trips into town (and even to/from the airport if we hadn't chosen an Uber). It was a very short Uber ride from the airport, which made it very convenient.

The view from the room was fantastic. We woke up every morning to see the bustling harbor, which was something new for us. The hotel was near to many great places to visit, and getting around was easy. Overall, it was great, we will definitely stay again next time we are in Sydney.

We visited Sydney to attend an engagement party at the Ivory Penthouse! What a magnificent venue with charming décor, delicious food, tasty beverages and very friendly staff. We enjoyed walking around soaking in the atmosphere of Sydney CBD, Darling Harbour and Bondi Beach. We dined at Greek restaurant Medusa, breakfast at Cinders and Parida Bondi Beach.

Using the light rail with an opal card is such a great way to get around. Sydney is fabulous for families - lots to do and some things are even free like the Hyde Park Barracks - definitely worth a visit. Great cheap pub meal at The Great Southern Hotel near Chinatown - recommend for families.

    SEA LIFE Aquarium visit brilliant.

SEA LIFE Aquarium visit brilliant. Footpath walking the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Even more exciting is to experience the Bridge summit climb. Walk around the Opera House and through the surrounding gardens and around Circular Quay and harbour on a beautiful sunny day. Easy and cheap to train to Penrith and Parramatta and Bondi shopping malls and central city. Visit Manly and especially Bondi Beach. Eat a lovely early or late breakfast at Cafe Bondi. Just visit Sydney. We can’t get enough of it!!

It's an amazing city with the history, including old buildings. Definitely visit The Rocks. Lots of museums, Sydney Eye Tower, Sea Life, Wild World & the Wax Works, Chinatown - & the list goes on. The harbour is beautiful & ferry rides are great. Watch out for the sea gulls at the beaches, especially if you are trying to eat fish & chips!! They are vicious!!! Public transport is quick & easy. However, I wouldn't like to live there - too many people, too many steep walking footpaths from Circular Quay & anywhere else in the city, many high high-rise buildings, but it's still a wonderful city to visit. Take a train to the Blue Mountains - or drive there. Such magnificent country!!

Hotel is a nice combination of old and new decor, classy. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. In a good central location within CBD, lots of activities close by and quality restaurants in vicinity. Breakfast until 11am which I liked as I'm not a "morning" person (some hotels I've stayed in previously stopped breakfast at 9:30am forcing an early rise and rushed shower etc to make it in time to eat). I'm a wheelchair user, "easy access" room was spacious and well designed.

We never ate in the hotel, but ended up going to a place just up the road - 2 min walk. service was fantastic there. we never cooked in the hotel. kitchen was clean and tidy. The Host was very apologetic to the issues below and easily contactable. that was the only good thing. good view of Sydney harbour from the pool deck. BUT BEWARE of the stairs to get to it

This is a very centrally located hotel. I had meetings in Sydney CBD so they are all within walking distances from the hotel. I really liked it when front office staff allowed me to check in at around 10:00AM which was fantastic after some 8 hours flight. The Gym is decent and so were the pool.
