    Wonderful ski field and natural area to visit.

    Wonderful ski field and natural area to visit. Unfortunately horrendously expensive for everything. Food, drinks, lifts etc. The resort owners also have the majority of the accommodation under their umbrella and hence charge excessively. It no longer has a village feel. Will certainly have to save up for another visit.

    We have been going to Thredbo for well over 40 years!

    We have been going to Thredbo for well over 40 years! We love Thredbo, But the whole village could use a bit of “TLC”, positive vibes (flags, lights, plants, etc…)! Realise that it is a business, just wish that somehow it would be more “affordable”, especially much more flexibility with ski passes (an adult that simply wants to have a couple runs with his small children/ grandchildren needs to buy a full day pass…..learn from Japanese ski resorts that offer hourly passes, and so much more!).

    Thredbo is an idyllic snowy mountain village with a distinctly European feel. Food is delicious and great entertainment with little bands in bars and great Apres' Club DJs and atmosphere during winter season. It's nice and convenient to chair lifts and snowfields. Excellent free shuttle bus service and thredbo.com.au information on website and face to face. Gorgeous natural beauty all around and good general tourist info and other services.

    We came of the beginning of snow season.

    We came of the beginning of snow season. So, the trip was easy and beautiful. The accommodation is still affordable as we went there a week before school holiday. Unfortunately we only stay there for 2 nights. We wish to stay there for at least 4 nights that will be great. We definitely will visit again in the future and stay much longer. Being a foodie myself, the choice of food was not that great. I wish there are more options and verities of great quality of food.

    As we were there in the summer, Thredbo was far less busy...

    As we were there in the summer, Thredbo was far less busy than in winter. This created a very relaxed and friendly environment for our visit. The main reason we were there was to do the Summit walk - which was great (helped by perfect weather conditions).

    We were at Thredbo for the annual Blues Festival.

    We were at Thredbo for the annual Blues Festival. Beautiful location, fresh mountain air, all the staff in all venues were so helpful and pleasant. We had a wonderful time. Even the cold front that came in on Saturday morning did not detract from a great time.

    Fantastic location in Thredbo village close to the Thredbo Alpine Hotel, central village with shops and the main Chairlifts & Gondola only a 2 minute walk away. Good ambience with real wood fireplace. 2 separate bedrooms, one with ensutie located on the 2nd level and the 3rd level has a large open space with beds configured to suit the occupants with TV area too. Also on 2nd level a curtained off sofa bed space for extra guests. Clean and comfortable with well equipped kitchen and separate laundry with ski clothes and boots drying area.

    Overall I enjoyed my stay at the YHA it was amazing to be able to stay in Thredbo. Staff were friendly and approachable and welcoming. Being a solo traveler I felt comfortable and safe. Accommodation was clean and modern. Definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thanks YHA.. Hope to see you next year.

    The view is amazing. The property managers were so helpful and friendly. The size of the apartment and bed were good. The locker and heated boot room were a great bonus. Easy walk down to the village. The complimentary buses around thredbo and Friday flats make moving around easy.
