Easy to find places of interest and especially great golf...
Easy to find places of interest and especially great golf courses, but some were overpriced but that is a reflection of the demand. The driving habits of locals on the narrow roads is concerning. Speed limits and good road manners seem to not apply to locals so visitors beware. Other advice is be wary of the BOM, rain and other forecasts associated with the BOM could spoil your plans so best to ignore them and get on with it. The BOM is best taken with a grain of salt ..it’s either your standing in the rain and BOM says it sunny or it’s sunny and they forecast rain.Guest review byRobertAustralia - 10.0

Yarra Glen is a lovely little town, there's a couple of good antique shops & easy driving distance to many wineries The Chocolaterie is a must visit & so is the Ice Creamery run by a lovely couple with a good selection of eats & a lovely little courtyard to sit in the garden.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Yarra Glen is a wonderful location about an hour drive from Melbourne. Huge variety of vineyards, most with restaurants and some with accommodation. I would recommend many upscale vineyards which you need to book for lunch eg: Sombah, Chateau Domain Chandon, Yarrawood, Balgownie to mention which we did and would thoroughly recommend. Also visited Rochford which we also enjoyed. The area is easy to get around. We stayed at Chateau Yerring which is old world comfort but sadly in need of some TLC. Eleanor restaurant was good but overpriced for what we got. Some staff were exceptionally friendly but others especially reception were either absent or appeared not to care. I had to go to reception to ask for water and toilet paper - both of which should have been attended to by house keeping. Hotel is old and needs to be bought up to 20th century ie; tiny television, no USB ports, WiFi reception very poor. This plus total non cleaning of veranda ( cobwebs, dirt, bird droppings) etc. It just need attention almost everywhere.Guest review byPauline CrippsAustralia - 10.0

Beautiful wineries with amazing restaurants. Good selection of things to do. We visited Zonzo’s and TarraWarra Estate and had lunch at each winery. We only stayed for 2 nights I would like to explore more of the area.Guest review byShirleyAustralia

We enjoyed the tasting, although did a group one which felt more formal and less personal than when you turn up to a cellar door, and thought the food was good at dinner.
