Sarajevo is a wonderful city to explore – full of history, culture, and charm. Its location also makes it a perfect base for discovering other gems of Bosnia, such as Srebrenica, Mostar, and the stunning Kravice waterfalls. Within Sarajevo itself, you can wander through the enchanting streets of Baščaršija, visit the sites of the 1984 Winter Olympics, enjoy countless cultural events and concerts, or take scenic walks in the beautiful surroundings of Mount Trebević.

If you like medieval history then Sarajevo is jam packed with it. The clock tower blew my mind. It was my favourite historical spot in Sarajevo. The guide from Meet Bosnia, who told us its history, was very knowledgeable. Sarajevo is quite small and we walked whenever we wanted to go anywhere. We ate at Dzenita - it's very central. Delicious! We loved their food, but we didn't stay long enough to try out all the dishes I wanted to try. We also tried out Brunch Sa's full breakfast dish, Brunch Sarajevo - what a treat! We got out of Sarajevo to visit the famous Pyramid of the Sun. Yes, it is real. The meditations are very powerful there. We are really looking forward to going there again.

    Sarajevo is a hidden gem!

Sarajevo is a hidden gem! It is beautiful and green with so much history and charm. It is amazing how the city has bounced back after the atrocities happening not too long ago. Sarajevo is a very safe city and I learned so much from the museums. I hope more tourists come here and help the economy.

    I absolutely loved Sarajevo!

I absolutely loved Sarajevo! The city is a fascinating blend of religions, lifestyles, and architecture that creates such a unique atmosphere. It’s vibrant, full of life, and simply stunning. The food is incredible — truly some of the best I’ve ever had. And as a bonus, the city is full of beautiful cats roaming around, which just made me love it even more.

No need for a tour guide, go To The Old Town, you can catch the Cable Cars to the top for a wonderful view, Its all within walking distance, so is the Yellow Fortress within walking distance from The old Town. Then you have the Gazi Huzrev Mosque which is in the Old Town too. If you dont stay within walking distance to the Old Town. Catch the Yellow Tram No 3, (make sure, its the yellow one). They charge 2.20 KM (£1.10 approx) no matter where you are going or getting off. Google search the tram stop route & take a screen shot of it and keep it on your phone.

I highly recommend a free walking tour at the beginning of your stay because you learn about the history and present day situation in Sarajevo. Another must is a visit to the Memorial Gallery Srebrenica exhibition. The audio guide and films provide personal experiences of the 1992 conflict and you come away with a better understanding of what it must have been like.

Very nice hotel, which stands out in its category in a very good location, few minutes from the old town. The things which I found special about this hotel are: +Staff was extremely friendly and kind, so the hotel had "like at home" vibes + Bosnian coffee at the terrace + Breakfast was very tasty, as if was home-made which always included some Bosnian special dishes. It wasn't standard or boring and as for a small hotel in this category that was one of the best breakfast I had

Homely feel, more like a BnB. Tolga was fantastic, helped me with issues I had regarding transport, and guided me on things to do, times and recommendations around Sarajevo and the rest of Bosnia. Warm and friendly staff. Furniture in the whole hotel is wooden ottoman style, v unique! Building has a lot of history too. A warm and comfortable stay overall.

Really lovely boutique hotel right on the edge of old town, with most rooms overlooking the mosque. Location couldn’t be beat, the rooms were lovely with comfy beds, and the staff were brilliant. I liked it so much I cancelled my reservation in a different hotel, and booked to stay here a second time on the night before my flight home.
