I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil Levski - it is kind of mandatory, we are obliged as descendants of those brave men. The other place that charmed us was a restaurant called "Едно време" (Once Upon a Time). As the birthplace of Vasil Levski, Karlovo is obviously full of history - this is where Levski and many another 'awakener' who launched the Bulgarian independence movement in the 19th century came from. The Levski Museum and the National History Museum Karlovo are both well worth visiting - as are the other buildings relating to the Bulgarian enlightenment. And if Bulgarian history isn't your thing, Karlovo is also the starting point for some mighty hikes in the Balkan - most notably up to Botev Peak. It's also just a very nice town in which to spend a couple of days (and easy to reach from Sofia).Guest review byTomBulgaria

The staff were friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. Parking was easy to find nearby, which is a big plus for a central location.
