The staff are absolutely marvellous and so helpful! Theodora is fluent in English and was a great help to us as we do not speak Bulgarian. The cleaning ladies, the restaurant staff, and the management who attend to the pool, are all wonderful, cheerful, and extremely hardworking people. The breakfast and other food served in the restaurant is fabulous. The setting amongst the forested mountains with the fast flowing river running alongside the hotel is superb, and everything is kept spotlessly clean and well maintained. We loved the swimming pool and made good use of it. The TV has a lot of channels so we could watch the Wimbledon tennis on it. They quickly fixed things when the end stop on the curtain rail broke and the curtain came partially off the rail. The owner's red Shelby Cobra 5 litre V8 Ford Mustang is a sight to see and hear when he fires it up!

    It so happened there was a carnival and loud music till late...

    It so happened there was a carnival and loud music till late night, but there where very nice paths to have a walk in the woods. Two of them start almost from the town. There are also others nearby like - "Glozhene Monastery - Morovitza cave", or the one to the Benkovski cave. Very beautiful sceneries and calmimg humming of the river!
