United StatesPerfect stay on the cabot trail... only 15 minutes to the skyline trail... lovely little town . celebrated my birthday at a nice restaurant L'Abri cute shops . the room had everything..comfortable bed, soft sheets, refrig, great towels .. very nicely decorted. the host Barry and Michelle are Wonderful people...so nice and helpful!! thank you for everything..

CanadaThe hosts were very friendly, polite, and inviting because it was literally their home and tried to make you feel just as home as them. The host let me eat my pizza in their dining room and kept me entertained with conversation. The room was very cozy and had a comfortable temperature despite how cold and windy it was outside. The entire place looked very neat and had a lot of antique pieces and decorations. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The house had plenty of parking space and my room had a great view of the river and the horizon.

Good place to stay and enjoyed the view of the ocean from...
Good place to stay and enjoyed the view of the ocean from our porch. The rental had everything we needed to prepare a meal and shopping for food was enjoyable. We enjoyed a walk around the area taking pictures and a nice shop for gifts, ice cream and other goodies. Don't forget the pharmacy which surprisingly had nice gifts and everything needed for tolitetries.

We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant.
We ate dinner at Le Gabriel Restaurant. There was entertainment Sunday evening at the restaurant. A woman played the fiddle and a man accompanied her on a keyboard. They were excellent. Seafood prices are very high. The place was very busy and the food was good.
Getting around Cheticamp is easy. We enjoyed driving along the entire Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. The Cape Breton Highlands Provincial Park was closed because of high fire danger.

We love Cheticamp.
We love Cheticamp. The Dory for entertainment or the Gabriel for an outdoor beverage. Lots to see . Beautiful location watching the fishing boats! The Auberge Suites are great. Stayed there twice. And would stay again!

This charming village is a perfect location to explore west...
This charming village is a perfect location to explore west side of the Cabot Trail, among many the Skyline trail. There are several good restaurants (a bit $$) and a lovely Cafe (Marguerite). Like all over in Nova Scotia, people are welcoming and friendly.

Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small.
Cheticamp is a cute town that is pretty small. Try to find live fiddling music, which we did at Doryman's Pub. The area is also known for rug hooking and there are two shops that specialize in those products. There are a couple of cute restaurants that offer good food, the Seagull being one.

A number of good restaurants. Local people very helpful and friendly. Gorgeous area including many sites outside of the nearby National Park. Local sites include Gypsum Lake, Cheticamp Island ( causeway access). Harbour Restaurant and Seafood Stop good - plain and simple good Pizza - Pizza Shack - liked veggie explosion. Mr Chicken great for ice cream - only tried the ice cream - small was bigger than we expected. Abundant attractions beyond town.

The hotel has an amazing and familiar vibe. The bedroom was comfortable with a very clean bathroom.
Loved the fact that it had an extra pillow, as I use at least 2.
The breakfast was the best part. They offer a menu with different options for your breakfast. The waitress was very attentive and friendly.
