    I was there for work!

    I was there for work! I would highly recommend the Indian restaurant there! Mughal garden restaurant. I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants in Vancouver and this is right up there for quality. Don’t let the decor fool you it’s fantastic food, for so cheap!! $10.99 for dinner. I had the goat curry with naan. I will be going back every time I’m in merrit!

    The murals were fun to walk around to look at.

    The murals were fun to walk around to look at. We enjoyed the museum. Every person in service work was friendly and chatty in a really nice way. There is a good choice of places to eat, to stay, and places to walk around, looking at murals and historical homes that are easily seen on foot. We had a good breakfast at the Coldwater Hotel, a beautiful old building, and were completely surprised to be served our food by a robot! The server, lovely woman, informed us that the restaurant tried to find staff, but no one applied and the robot enables her to not be run off her feet.

    We heard that it is not a good time to visit Merritt this...

    We heard that it is not a good time to visit Merritt this summer. This is apparently because of floods evacuees from the neighboring areas are occupying most hotel rooms. This is probably the reason for high price for a hotel room we had to pay during our stay. Merritt is also not ready to handle diners at the restaurants and fast food this summer- We had to face much longer lines than in other towns on our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver.

    The lady who looked after us was exceptional. We enjoyed our stay and the facility was perfect and met our needs. It was quiet during the evening and we had a great sleep. The location is perfect for anything you want to do in Merritt. They are working on creating a lovely garden project which will really enhance the area. We are looking forward to staying here again!

    We were very satisfied with the accommodation. Our needs were very small as we were attending a spinning retreat in Merritt and just needed a place to sleep. However, it would have been nice if you'd had a lounge area where all of us staying at the motel could have gathered for a social time together.

    Very pleasant staff. Housekeeping and deskstaff were very nice. We liked the fact that the hotel is just out of town, but all necessary stores are around the corner. The mountain view through the panoramic windows in the super spacious rooms is amazing! See photo

    Managers at the hotel were so nice and welcoming, their dog was adorable, and the room was great for a very low price in a cool historical building, including a fridge and AC. Breakfast was plentiful addition that you get with a $15 voucher.
