The Inn where we spent the night was charming.
The Inn where we spent the night was charming. The restaurant where we enjoyed delicious pizza while we looked out to the beautiful scenery and the walk around the town was delightful! We hope to be back for a longer visit one day in the future!Guest review byDavid - 8.0

Beautiful area. Enjoyed rest/park areas with our dog. Lovely drive along the St. Lawrence. Will come back when we can enjoy the island tours one day. Lack of nice restaurants - limited choices away from fast food establishments which we don't enjoy. Lack of gift/artisanal shops but has all the conveniences of home. The hotel was clean and quiet.
The hotel was clean and quiet. However, and this is a big minus, because we booked on line (Booking.com) we were limited to a room on the second floor. No elevator or escalator, just a long flight of stairs. Very difficult for me to navigate, as I had a recent knee replacement. This 2nd-floor-if-you-book-on-line was not evident on the Booking.com site. The clerk made no effort to accommodate our request to have a ground floor room, at the same price, despite the fact that the hotel was far from full. Also: the restaurant is a St Hubert next door, although linked to the hotel. The food was terrible.Guest review byAlvinCanada - 10.0

Our time in Montmagny was centered around the old city I think they call it. It is a clean quiet and historic part of the city and very pleasant. A river divides the area and the river mouth features a wide but shallow waterfall and ferry terminal to the islands.Guest review bymikeCanada - 10.0

A strong history 350 years and a sense of the achievements over this time - beautiful views of the St Lawrence en route and on arrival - many locales to visit here -music /accordian competition and free performances, trails along the river and a beautiful drive along the river both east and west on the 132 some other great dining to be had beside Maison Rousseau -Guest review byPatricia StalteriCanada

We were so pleased with the rooms, that we pre-booked for one night on our return to Toronto. The atrium is the highlight filled with tropical plants, caged lovebirds, indoor swimming pool and whirlpool.
