The train ride was amazing and you can bring your own lunch and drinks for the ride. We purchased a day pass for fishing. And went fishing nearby off the boardwalk by the water. Hard to determine prices when it states one price and then you receive a receipt or statement stating a different price very confusing. We did the Agawa Canyon train tour enjoyed it very much. The Miss Marie Soo lock tour is not to be missed, it is truly worth it. We also drove around to Harmony Beach, Batchawana Bay and Ojibway Park and Trail. We also drove to Manitoulin Island by car.Guest review byAnnieCanada - 6.0

Sault St.
Sault St. Marie is factory city and a location for access to the USA. There is not much to do there in the winter time as most of the visitor locations are closed for the season. Be ready for lots of snow at the city is on the south end of Lake Superior and the top of Lake Huron, so there is lots of bad weather in the winter.Guest review byStuart - 8.0

Entering the city from the international bridge, the view reveals more evidence of old industry and shipping rather than a tourist destination. We could not determine where the city centre existed and we could not find a specific area dedicated to nightlife except for the casino. We found good restaurants throughout the city though and felt like we struck gold with the South Asian cusine at Tandori Gardan on Queen Street. The neighborhoods, whether old or modern, lacked charm but were safe and adequately maintained. Above all, we found the snow we were looking for near the Soo and that made our New Year's vacation enjoyable. They have great cross-country ski options.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 6.0

Simple basic map of town would have been nice - too small on phone... Front desk clerk on arrival - long day? We were late arrivals and cold reception Hot protein for cont bkfst would have been nice... Booking and/or Super 8 killed any discount of high Canadian charges... both blamed the other for not being able to use AARP or AAA... 2nd day clerk better, bkfst good except for no hot eggs We did Agawa train so little time for anything else in two days...Guest review byAnonymous

We stay here every time we pass through town, they went above and beyond to give us a room on the end so my 4 month old wouldn’t be surrounded by noise. Really showed me they care about their customers. I’m always nervous staying in a motel/hotel because you have to rely on someone else to clean for you.
