We were upgraded to the Chalet, possibly due to a bus tour in town. Amazing, beautiful house with fantastic water views. Can not speak more highly of the facilities - everything you would hope for and more. But even more wonderful were the 'people' at the reception/restaurant/bar. The host, staff and entertainer (and their families) were all extremely welcoming, warm, friendly and genuine. Truly beautiful Newfy people who make this Irish Loop a joy.

Michelle and Reidar are fabulous human beings. We felt so comfortable and had so many laughs, it was more like being with friends or family than being on holiday somewhere far away. Their food is outstanding, the wine as well. I guess, you read this before and it’s true! But their presence and the overall experience is even better (if that’s possible). Saint Shotts is unique, and maybe not for everyone, as it’s really remote, but once you set foot into the Keepers Kitchen it just feels right. Thank you so much!

Trepassey was a great stopping off point for us as it was close to Mistaken Point which we were very keen to visit. We did not have time to explore the area much but did go out for a tour with Tony who gives walking tours and ATV tours, This is a very friendly place and well worth the visit. We stayed at the Edge of Avalon which is a fantastic place super friendly and they have a very nice restaurant serving good food with helpful and friendly staff.
