From the moment we arrived, The Azur exceeded all expectations! The service was outstanding—warm and friendly, from the porter to the front desk team. This small yet dedicated team made us feel truly welcome. The hotel itself is fabulous; modern, beautifully designed, and whisper-quiet inside. Our room was a sanctuary of comfort: stylish, impeccably clean, and delightfully warm. The bed was an absolute dream—sumptuous linens, plush pillows, and a level of quiet that gave us the best sleep. The bathroom..pure indulgence! Heated marble floors added a touch of luxury, while the sleek, contemporary design was complemented by L’Occitane toiletries, fluffy bathrobes, and generously sized towels—every detail felt considered and exquisite. The location is just as impressive. A Tim Hortons right next door made for the perfect grab-and-go coffee before strolling the safe and vibrant streets of downtown Vancouver. Another standout feature - the convenience! We walked just 300 metres from the Waterfront SkyTrain Station straight to the hotel—so easy and stress-free. We enjoyed a 10min walk to Gastown and the CF Pacific Centre, Vancouver’s premier luxury shopping destination, was only a four-minute walk away. So much, so close by! The Azur is, without a doubt, a perfect 10! A seamless blend of boutique luxury, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

FAQs about hotels in Vancouver

Outstanding Capital of the Outdoors

An outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, Vancouver is sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain is a favourite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.

Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch ‘n’ putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.

Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home ground of the city’s football and American football teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.

With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.

We could go on and on about British Columbia’s largest city and never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodation, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near each of its ferry ports.

Great city, wonderful scenery and friendly, helpful people. Easy to get around by skytrain, water taxis, bike or just walking. We went on a trip to Squamish and Whistler which was awesome, especially the sea to sky gondola and views from the top. Vancouver Island is also worth a visit...a really relaxed holiday destination .

The views of the harbour and mountains were fantastic loved the park but Gastown was disappointing run down the cobbled street ms were not authentic and we saw individuals actually snorting cocaine in street when we walked a bit too far downtown felt intimidated by seeing all this so felt it was a city of two halves

Great city with natural beauty and amazing nearby tourist attractions. Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Park Bridge, Sea to Sky Gondola Whistler and Butchart Gardens/Victoria and quaint steam clock in Gas Town marking the hour with a tune and each quarter hour. Clean, felt safe even at night. Weather very kind to us. Was prepared for much cooler wet conditions but blue skies and comfortable temperatures perfect for being out and about (second week of September).

Great location on Robson St - easy walking to everywhere. Stayed on the 28th floor & could see 5 snow-capped mountains from the lounge chair :) Our room was big, very comfortable & clean. Serviced every day & the staff were fabulous. We felt safe, at home & had everything we needed (except laundry facilities) for our 8 day stay. HIGHLY recommend the hotel, especially the location. If we ever come back to Vancouver, I wouldn't hesitate staying at the Blue Horizon hotel again.

Nice big room in downtown Vancouver, good location to walk around the city and go to cafes and bars. Good facilities despite the upgrade works that were taking place at the hotel - fresh cool water and fruit were available to grab and go - useful for us as we were getting out and exploring every day.
