    We only had one full day in Winnipeg, so there is much more...

    We only had one full day in Winnipeg, so there is much more of this welcoming city to see. We spent most of our time in the Forks area. We visited the Human Rights Museum. Very emotional, but we appreciate admitting to past mistakes and working to correct them instead of pretending they were never made. It was a beautiful July day. Other than the museum we spent the entire time outdoors. Everyone we met was friendly.

    For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car...

    For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car. I did not rent a car and the private hire cars like Uber and Lyft did not go to one of the places I had hoped to visit. There were no tours to that place available. So I suggest that if you are travelling in by plane or train, that you rent a car for the places further out from Winnipeg.

    Winnipeg is a great city to visit. It has everything. Great restaurants, great people & many, many things to see & do. We have live concerts, folklorama, red river ex, horse racing, museums, art gallery, concert hall & lots of bars also. Don’t miss a chance to visit this amazing city.

    Parking on the hotel site makes a huge difference in Winnipeg. The Humphrey is close to all major tourist spots- The Forks, Exchange District, WAG, and Museum of Human Rights. I recommend a trip across the bridge to St. Boniface district- The cathedral, Grey Nuns museum, French Cultural centre and University are wonderful to visit in all seasons.

    Your false pricing scheme of using a lower CAD of 372 CAD...

    Your false pricing scheme of using a lower CAD of 372 CAD including all taxes to entice customers into placing a reservation with Booking.com with the hotel's compliance, and then sending a confirmation email for a higher amount, in a different currency than the customer's, is illegal in Canada. Along with a full night's charge to ensnare the customer if the new false room rate is declined at the Birchwood Hotel Winnipeg Manitoba Canada front desk, both Booking.com and The Birchwood or Birchmount Winnipeg are obviously working together in tandem for illegal profiteering. Beware all potential customers!

    Winnipeg is a nice city for getting around and offers a lot of history. The zoo was awesome! Loved the butterfly exhibit at the Leaf. If you like Greek food, I highly recommend Kristina's. It was excellent.

    We drive from Calgary to Winnipeg and they let us check in one hour early(no charge)and The bed is very comfy and smells great,same with the room no odd smell.also, the parking is pretty safe too,the hotel’s location is very close to university of Manitoba,restaurants,groceries and fast food.we loved it.we will definitely come back here and recommend this hotel to our friends who plans to visit Winnipeg.

    Last minute booking as we were delayed in getting our train. Provided all we needed for a stop over. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Located within a five minutes walk to the station in downtown Winnipeg so no complaints at all!
