Brienz is easy to approach from interlaken by train or car. Brienz lake view, cruise journey from Brienz to Iseltwald, interlaken was awesome. Brienz Rothorn train ride is amazing and unforgettable and the views of Brienz lake from top of mountains were Marvellous. We only stayed at Brienz for one night en route between other places that we were visiting. The area has a lot of character with lovely old buildings and is on the shore of one of the many big lakes. It was very quiet during our brief stay, being in the period between the summer and winter seasons for tourists. We didn’t spend any time there this time. The location is beautiful by the clear lakeside surrounded by mountains. Swiss railway transport is brilliantly efficient and comfortable. EASY TRAIN, BUS AND FERRY ACCESS. WE USED THE TRAIN FROM MILAN AND ALSO WENT TO LUCERN A COUPLE OF TIMES. THE FERRIES TO GO UP AND DOWN THE LAKES BUT BEWARE THE FERRY TIMES. THE VIEWS. EASY TO GET TO JUNGFRAUJOCH AND LAUTERBRUNEN. ROTHORN BAHN IN SUMMER MONTHS.Guest review byMarciaAustralia

The breakfast spread was excellent and filled with choices for everyone. The view of the waterfall from our room felt like a dream. We were lulled to sleep. Bathroom was one of the cleanest we've seen. We also took a complimentary hotel shuttle to/from the train station to make it easy to travel with our bags. Furthermore, communication with the hosts proved difficult throughout the stay, despite our attempts.
