The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding mountains, is vey beautiful. The mountain behind is a very nice "fitness" route. Not only it is a town with incredible views and endless promenades but also people of this town are exceptionally friendly. Brunnen is a unique and beautiful large village/small town at the part of Lake Lucerne which becomes the Urnersee. The view to the lake presents one of the most magical views anywhere in the world. Fjord-like mountains come down to the lake at its most narrow part. Whether in brilliant sunshine or grey and misty, the view is fabulous. Haus Eleisa is very comfortably furnished, very clean, has a nice balcony and good bathroom. No cooking facilities but fridge + tea/coffee making facilities/microwave. Quiet location and lovely garden next to river which guests can use. Great value - much more space than a hotel and much cheaper.
