The lake view from the hotel window, with the surrounding mountains, is vey beautiful. The mountain behind is a very nice "fitness" route. Brunnen is a unique and beautiful large village/small town at the part of Lake Lucerne which becomes the Urnersee. The view to the lake presents one of the most magical views anywhere in the world. Fjord-like mountains come down to the lake at its most narrow part. Whether in brilliant sunshine or grey and misty, the view is fabulous. Nice to have access to a coffee machine in the hallway. The breakfast had a wide range of choice and very good. I also liked the fact that I could leave my luggage at the hotel after check out until the afternoon while i did a trip that I could not take my luggage with me on. Haus Eleisa is very comfortably furnished, very clean, has a nice balcony and good bathroom. No cooking facilities but fridge + tea/coffee making facilities/microwave. Quiet location and lovely garden next to river which guests can use. Great value - much more space than a hotel and much cheaper.
