Beautiful village - ideal for photos. Cable cars take you to the top of the mountains where Murren and Gimmelwald can be reached. Many beautiful hikes in and around the town. Great location with magical views.
Great location with magical views. Train in walking distance to go to Jungfraujoch. Tickets were easily purchased at the campsite front desk. They could advise how busy the train was as their system seemed connected. There was a shop at the campsite with all the main items and there was a bigger supermarket also in walking distance. The hotel room (dungeon) in Hotel Oberland was definitely a big disappointment. We stayed in many hotels in France, Switzerland & Germany & this was the most expensive & the worst. Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for.
Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for. We had sunny days and a couple of rainy days, both were breathtaking in their own right. Nice connection too to Murren, Wengen, and Interlaken. This hotel still keeps its traditional and facades of typical Swiss mountain Houses. Nice setting with mesmerising view of Staubach Falls from our room balcony and cows herd next to the hotel. Too beautiful and serene. Warmed welcome by the staffs and Ms Nathalie was very accommodating to all our needs and explain well on how to get to our sightseeing place. She is a gem . Beautiful area with fabulous views of the mountains and you can see the famous waterfall from the hotel. Bus stop is directly outside the hotel. Train station is just 5 minutes walk to the hotel. We had dinner at the hotel, it was fabulous, really good food. Continental breakfast was simple but lovely. The bus stop is just outside the house, so it was super convenient to carry our luggage to and from the train station. The waterfalls were within view and the walk to town was easy and picturesque.
