We stayed 1 night for the Eurovision. We easily reached the hotel by train from the SBB station. The best part was once we arrived. The owner himself, knowing a taxi would have been to expensive and that it would have taken us long to reach Jakobshalle by public transportation, offered to take us by car. I haven't seen an act of kindness like that...probably ever! They were all very helpful and welcoming. They also upgraded our room free of charge. It was a clean room with everything you might need for a quick and comfortable stay. THANK YOU ARBEN!!!!

Great location near the spa, near city, near Rhine river. Room was big, well equipped, very nice room. Hotel lunch/dinner restaurant was good. Breakfast can slightly improve quality. Staff was very polite. Spa was excellent, direct connect from the hotel. The only drawback I would personally say is that hotel price seems high for a 4* hotel.

    The free ride from Hotel to Airport was seamless. The hotel provides a free ticked which can be used in the bus and train. Take Bus 50 from Basel Airport which takes you to the train station at Basel. Check the platform number. There is a direct service to Liestal or a train with 3 stops and you get off at the 4th. 5 minutes to hotel Engel. Lots of eating places and people very friendly.

    I ' VE NEVER SEEN THIS HOTEL FROM THE INSIDE, I AM HERE SLEEPING OUSIDE IN MY CAR, THIS #########never open a phone call, Same as booking assistance##-##, I specified that I was arriving late night No one replyed a d took my money, Now at 2.00 am I am sleeping in my car outside this joke place, Money robbed, Booking service it' s a joke, Booking this place may you will sleep.in a car like me and they will even take your money....and zero assistance ,zero messages nothing

    Everything was fine. We felt like home. The apartment was very close to the old city of Liestal, so we could walk to the centar. The apartment is very comfortable and is equipped with all the stuff you will need. Also Andreas prepared something for the youngest one, we found toys that made my child very happy. Andreas was very helpful host, he gives very precise instructions for check-in and check-out. Thanks!

    A small contingent of staff and they were all wonderful-- willing to help beyond normal expectations. Our family's sincere thanks to Lukas and Anna for all their help and advice. (Lukas went above and beyond to inquire about phone SIM cards after our pre-ordered cards didn't arrive. Anna let us stow away our luggage in our room after checkout since hotel occupancy wasn't full that time).

    Wonderful service, great food, lovely decorated rooms and bathrooms -- and extremely accomodating management. I had made a booking mistake, booked one night too early. Hotel manager greenlighted applying the payment to our actual stay instead of charging us more. We're very pleased and will be glad to return to this place.

    This hotel is kind of secret gem in the Liestal area. You need to drive few kilometers away from the main roads to get there but in the end you are rewarded by the fabulous cuisine, cosy rooms and beautiful surrounding. Do not miss the dinner in one of hotel restaurants.
