The staff (a man sorry did not get your name) who works there does most of everything (check-in, room service, breakfast) himself may be because we arrived quite late. Even though it was just him, everything was done quite efficiently. We requested additional pillows and he came right up. At breakfast, he did everything from filling the buffet bar up to cleaning the table and he did it so quickly and perfectly. Out of all the good things there, we were amazed by him the most. He work like owns the hotel (or may be he does) or else the owner should really give him a big bonus. Breakfast was of great quality (did not expect that at all in such a small hotel). Better than some hotels that cost more than twice as much during our trip. The scrambled eggs were delicious. The room was clean. We parked outside the hotel since there was a spot available. It was also free since it was part of the hotel area. Did not want to go down the underground garage because our car was quite big. The hotel is a recommend.

First of all, this stay was a suprise for my mother's birthday and her and my father really loved the place. I will have to thank a lot to the great staff, because all of them and Mrs. Tamara were really nice. They helped me prepare a little surprise for my mother and also they treated my parents amazing while they were there. Mrs. Tamara was lovely, because she also hand wrote a letter for my mom in Romanian, which obviously is not her language. I recommend this place with all my heart!

I stayed at the hotel with two dogs. There was a large dog carpet and bowls waiting for me in the room. The room was spacious and we felt comfortable sleeping there. The hotel has a lovely fitness centre which I enjoyed working out in the morning. The breakfast was great and the service at the reception, restaurant and fitness centre was excellent. The room was clean, had a bathrobe, slippers, all hygiene products, the shower was spacious and comfortable. There was a kettle and everything to make tea in the room.

The bed was perfect. The room was quiet, which is a main request for us because we are away all day. The bathroom was big. Wifi was super fast. Room temperature was adjustable. The staff was super helpful, we had an extra request which was met immediately. The acommodation was close to the railway station, about 5 min, which led to the main railway station in St. Gallen. Would stay again.

We arrived on a Sunday, and there was no reception staff in the building after 3 p.m. But we were notified in advance, and our keycards were available in a lockbox on the outside of the building. The hotel includes free underground parking. Room was very spacious and clean. Free coffee and water we available in the corridor of our floor.

    The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are interested in history: the museum, the vault and the library are amazing and absolutely worth the visit (and the price, that is even cheap). Getting around the town is easy, both walking and using the public transportation. If you arrive by car, remember that a great part of the center is not accessible, but there are parking areas open 24/7 that cost 20 CHF for 24h.

    A very interesting place with a lovely old town, and stunning scenery in the area. Particularly, I would recommend visiting the Abbey Library, a stunning place, and the three lakes beauty spot up on the side of the valley, above the town.

    I thought the city was lovely.

    I thought the city was lovely. We went various places from there. It would have been easier if more people spoke English or French, but we managed. Also, a lot of stores just never seemed to be open unless they were in malls. Some did open around noon, but closed early. We tried different restaurants. The transportation system overall in Switzerland was wonderful. We loved the library and Cathedral in St. Gallen.

    An unexpected but noticeable unpleasant odor emanated from...

    An unexpected but noticeable unpleasant odor emanated from the hallways and rooms. If I was to describe the smell it was like a room that had not been aired after sleeping in for some days. It did put us off walking towards our room. I suggest the hotel investigates the cause and takes steps to improve the scents. Otherwise, it was clean, spacious. On a positive side the pool and spa were a highlight. The steam-room experience in the spa could be further enhanced and elevated to a higher level with use of pleasant aromas made for this purpose.

    A beautiful city with a great history and charm.

    A beautiful city with a great history and charm. Particularly enjoyed exploring the amazing Abbey and the old library. Easy access to the countryside, good bus and tram service. Lots of great and not too expensive, cafes and restaurants . Will definitely be making a return visit.

    St. Gallen has culture, great shopping possibilities and lovely streets with amazing special buildings, already from the 15th century. It has a nightlife and super public transport possibilities to reach Appenzell and my huge personal favourite, Chur.

    Perfect hotel. Everything very clean and equipped. There was everything you needed. The bed was very comfortable. The location of the Hotel was ideal for travellers, you have everything nearby. The staff is very friendly and ready to listen to any request. The breakfast was also very good, with many varieties of choice.

    It is a convenient location, a few minutes from St. Gallen train station. A COOP supermarket is within walking distance and easily accessible. We enjoyed the buffet-style breakfast very much. It's a compatible price around Zurich /St. Gallen area.
