I am an Australian who only speaks English. The team member found Kimmy who was very fluent in English and was over the top helpful. He wrote out locations for me to go in English then Chinese so I could communicate to get transport to where I wanted to go. He even helped me with how to set up payment apps through phone since you can’t use credit card In China. I would highly recommend Kimmy if you are an English spoken traveller. A1 service Thankyou 😊

This hotel is Shanghai's best kept secret. If you need to stay north of the city, stay here. It feels like a miniature Disneyland. Pictures of the grand staircase are accurate and do not disappoint. Staff checking in told me that the rate for my room had changed -- it had actually become *cheaper* relative to what I booked. They spent a half hour trying to get me the cheaper room rate -- outstanding. The bedroom was luxurious, like staying in a palace. Largest bed I've ever seen -- 1.5x wider than it was long. Short walk from Baoyang Rd metro station. Maybe a half hour to get back to the city on the metro, so not too long though it feels long the first time! Mall next door has food and other amenities. Breakfast was delicious. This was the best hotel I stayed in for the price during my last trip to China.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel! The experience was truly delightful from start to finish. The breakfast was a standout, especially the excellent Chinese options which were fresh and delicious. The room was spacious, immaculately cleaned, and offered a beautiful view which made it even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and excellent service!

The staff were warm, professional, and did everything possible to make our vacation perfect The cleanliness was outstanding, and the rooms were very comfortable We celebrated our wedding anniversary and were gifted breakfast for four, a hot dinner, and afternoon refreshments, along with treats in the room and a beautiful flower bouquet Free laundry service! Our clothes were returned to the room the same day, freshly cleaned The hotel is very quiet, easy to get around from, and the staff were constantly smiling—both in the lobby and the dining room—always creating a wonderful atmosphere, even though some of them didn’t speak English and we communicated through a translation app Many hotels around the world could learn from you about true guest service. I had a room with a view to the Shanghai skyline and it was terrific. The location of the hotel is excellent (East Nanjing Road) and shopping and dining opportunities are plenty. The room and bathroom design were very pleasant. The hotel staff was enthusiastic and helpful.
