- Very friendly stuff - try to solve all your problems. - The top location is in an urban district (near the CCTV). Two metro stations nearly in 3-5 mins (15-20 min to center by metro). Clean and cozy rooms with good modern interiors. - Smart curtains and wireless charge near the bed. Every day towels, water, snacks, and slippers change. Nice air/cool/heat condition system. Different lighting modes. - good breakfast for non asian people (eggs, toasts, vegetables and salads). Hard to eat noodles in the morning. - The top feature is coffe/tea spot with snacks in lounge zone.

FAQs about hotels in Beijing

From Chinese Dynasties to Cultural Dynamics

A world-renowned gem, sprawling Beijing has magnificent monuments and peaceful parks. At its heart is the world’s largest square - Tiananmen, surrounded by important museums and the amazing Forbidden City. This 15th-century, walled complex of palaces neighbours Jingshan Park and Beihai Park with its imperial garden.

Opposite Tiananmen Square is the ultra-modern National Centre for Perfoming Arts, a beacon of the city’s culture so impressively displayed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the Bird’s Nest Stadium.

To its east is the UNESCO World-Heritage listed Summer Palace, a lakeside retreat of emperors, while also UNESCO listed is the grand Temple of Heaven in Chongwen district, where remnants of Ming dynasty city walls are visible. Nearby are several hutongs, narrow alleys whose traditional architecture contrasts with wider, modern roads including Beijing Financial Street, the city's business area.

The most popular Beijing shopping street is Wangfujing, and other must-see sights include the giant pandas at Beijing Zoo and the Great Wall of China, an easy day trip from Beijing.

As you would expect from the capital of the world’s most populous country, there are a good number of 5-star hotels in Beijing on Booking.com, mainly in the Dongcheng and Chaoyang districts. There are also several hotels near Beijing Capital Airport in the north-east.

the city is easy to get around on your own by taxi or metro.

the city is easy to get around on your own by taxi or metro. The city feels safe with the police on the street, and the mobile policestations. Even though it a really big city it's soo quiet because of the EV cars, scooters and bicycles. The city has a lot of culture to offer combined with the new modern parts of the city. Beijing is totally worth the trip

The city is full of small family restaurants, where you can get a good meal for pennies. I'm not talking Michelin quality, but I am talking tasty and filling. Getting around the city is simple; the metro and many major centres have signs in both Chinese script and Chinese English. So long as you keep your wits about you, read the signs carefully, and can navigate, you'll be fine. China has millennia of history and culture, so there's a lot to explore. As usual, plan what you want to do and don't try and do everything. For me, I really enjoyed the National Arts Museum, especially their shop. That shop just happens to serve the best espresso in the city (admittedly, I didn't try every coffee outlet, but...). Remember, China has a very different culture to Europe, so you have to adapt to their way of doing things. Be ready for difference, and adapt to it, even when it's scary, such as crossing the road (which is mad, mad).

I would love to have stayed longer.

I would love to have stayed longer. Beijing has lots to see and I would recommend staying at least 4 nights not to feel rushed. Definitely do your research before going and book trips to avoid disappointment of not being able to visit places. Remember it can get very busy so just go with the flow. The subway is easy to use but if you’re not sure, just ask. There are people who will help and use translator to help with communication.

Bejing is a great city to visit, but one has to do some home work before jetting off to Bejing. The western countries applications like Google Maps, Uber do not work in Bejing, therfore one has to be sure to have some Chinese Apps installed on your phones before coming to Bejing. Apps like Ali Pay, Wee Chat, the Chinese Version of Google Maps called Amap, it is a must. One has to have a Global esim if possible and be able to download all of these apps in order to move around in Bejing easily. Otherwise moving around will be a struggle. All in all great city to visit.

People were extremally friendly and helpful. Not everyone spoke English but enough people could or use your translation app. Felt very safe walking along the alleys late at night. We could rent a taxi inexpensively to take us to the Great Wall and waited until we were done, which was probably the highlight of the stay. Wanted to see the Forbidden City and Tienemen Square but our stay was too brief and Forbidden City is closed on Mondays.

Beijing is an ancient and modern city that has a lot to offer. Fall or Spring is the best season to visit Beijing. You may enjoy visiting the historical sites such as YuanMingYuan, or wondering in the very modern and luxurious shopping centers, such as China World Trade Center or SKP. If you can navigate the Subway system and download a riding APP called DIDI, you’ll feel much more freedom with your travel experience there. The city is secure and neat. A must go if you want to see great historical sites such as the Great Wall.

Convenience- really 3 mins walk to property after exiting B exit at Beijing train station. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Frank at front desk and his colleague gave 5 star service and helped me with places to visit and booking time. Frank also patiently recommended live music when I asked for it. Frank speaks good English! Definitely a 4 star hotel with 5 star service. Ice cubes was given when asked every night. They even found my passport when I lost it. Hotel is located on line 2 station and close to famous sites.

In 2018, we stayed in an AirBnB in a hutong, before AirBnB was defunct in China. This was a better location and staff were exceellent. We would love to stay at LeZai again when in Beijing.
